thanks for weighing in on this Chris... IMO it is a huge deal, people not thinking it's a big deal should reconsider their position, the "so what, no one got hurt" argument is a little lame in this arena. It's the little things that add up to big things and it's the big things that can really really hurt. Be careful out there.

a cypress is a tree that normally grows in teh warmer climates of the world I believe. An AAD is a device that some skydivers choose to wear that senses altitude and speed and acts accoring to it's programed instructions. A CyPReS is an example of one such device.

I wonder if the sky van will be completed by the weekend, they were going to start hanging the NEW engines on it today. plus they need to do some painting.
-
so who's donating these test models.... I'm sure you've worked something out with Simon, right?
-
best in teh world... well they do hold the title now, but wait till the fall......

You're doing yourself a disservice if you also dont' check out other tunnel camp offerings... Sebastian XL and Deland majik also offer tunnel camps (and can schedule training outside of structured camps cause they're local). check out the price you pay, what you get and how much personal attention you're getting.

well, I'll be moving into my new place mid Feb here in Daytona, I believe it has a pool, hot tub, bar-b-que pit and volleyball, you're all welcome to come on over (well, OK, more women than men are invited, but whatever, I don't like naked men)
-
redeemed, maybe, will you ever live donw funnelling the whole goldne knights team? probably not
-
I can verify that Andrea is a hottie, and that's all I will verify unless there is a bribe of some sort
-
notice how good I've been!?!
-
Jimmy Tranter (spelling?) is getting really good at those carving turns.
-
there was an accident at a northern DZ three years ago where someone cut their canopy away really low, and reached a high enough speed to activate the CYPRES, but unfortunately not high enough to fully deploy the reserve.
-
two hours in the tunnel is now about $350 MORE than a CYPRES.
-
sure it does, but you're pretty much spotting for yourself as more than likely no one is following you out of the plane

in reply to "but I've mostly been a FL girl since 1969" 19 what? hahahahahaha anyway... I'll play, too.. Born in detroit longer ago than I want to admit. grew up in upstate Ny, lived in Pa, NJ, Md, RI and back up to NY, now in Fl for work (was supposed to be 6 months a year ago). home Dz is Cross Keys and DeLand, first jump was Mohawk valley Adventures, Scotia NY
-
um, Stacy, your friend Dave here, who is currently living in Daytona....... about 15 miles from the DZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you are welcome to crash at my place, although I may go to Sebastian for the FSL meet. and you will have to sleep on a pull out couch, but it beats the rental car. Lana is staying in teh bunkhouse too and doesn't seem to mind it.

just remember that stretching a cold muscle is bad! warm up before doing any stretching... light jogging, jumping jacks, whatever it takes to break a slight sweat..

I wonder if the fabric was from the begining or end of a production run, its not unlikely to see start up and shut down issues surface like this (i.e. it may never have been coated in the first place)....

there is going to be big ways (some were invitational BTW) There are going to be some "name" organizers. It's a tribute to Tom Piras who was very influential in the sport before he died (and probably even after). It is a three day event. starting friday. BTW he died when on a student jump, it was either the student's main or reserve he pulled (can't remember), but the student kicked him in the chin during opening which caused his death (I'm pretty sure I got that 90% correct).

in reply to: "if I need to get out I'm climbing right over your ass" If I see the pilot coming at me, no way is he going to beat me to the door!!!! besides I'm bigger than you
-
true there is batch variation in color (american english), but the dimensional tolerances come when the fabric is cut and sewn.
-
right a wide body c-182 can be rated for 5 jumpers..... my humorous point was with that aircraft you really aren't going to worry much about separation if you're doing a 4way, unless the pilot plans on jumping. in which case he should give 6-8 seconds before bale out...
