it's easy, very easy to do.... not that I do (I don't), but I've got blank reserve data cards, and that's all you really need.
-
of course the other side of the coin... the more you handle it the more chance that something could cause damage to the equipment.
-
Marc, FYI, you'll never win an argument with the proff, he's always right. Nationals should be interesting, eh?

The safest, most cost effective option given a jump run into the wind is belly out first, if you don't believe it go to Omniskore.com and run the simulation. I dont' know of any skydiver who wants someone in freefall directly over them. This of course has been debated many times, but run it yourself. OH - and it depends on what type of crew, 8 way speed gets out low, so they get out first naturally.

I'll weigh in on this cause there is some interesting responses on this. in 4way, you need to stay balanced, hips and shoulders always in the same plane, dipping a shoulder, tipping your torso will result in a turn/side slide, BUT, you will also increase your fall rate, and give yourself an unbalanced position, you shoud maintaing a hips down, shoulders up and square position., press with an arm and the same leg to slide (of course counter that movemement to stop). torso remains square, all movment is in the shoulder and hip joints.

wasn't trying to be mean

the cicle K's are advertising the ONLY approved cooler for the speedway.... it's unbelievably nuts.
-
if the sun is out DeLand is jumping. it's 16 miles form the track - due west on 92.
-
I can hear them from my apartment, it is amazing how many RV's are in Daytona right now. thousands... I'm glad I'm going to Vermont this weekend.!
-
My first rig was a Racer, gutter gear, but I'm still here, then I bought a new one (cause that's what was jumped at the DZ where i was). Got smart, am going on my 3rd Mirage (couldn't resist the Unsyn). I know three people who have had out of sequence deployments on a Racer cause their main pin got knocked loose on a skydive -- who needs a fail safe harness when you've got a horseshoe to deal with? I suppose if you're cutting at it with a hook knife maybe .

for big ways and the like they are not to bad, if you're into 4way and that sort of skydiving, then they hinder your movements.
-
Well, that just sucks, and to top it off, I just found out that Glenn from Frost (4way team) -- he was also on Tunnel rage -- cut wasy and didn't get a reserve out at the dominican republic boogie... Blue skies, be careful people.

stinking work.... kept me to late in the afternoon on Saturday.
-
Like anyone would want to spend an evening in Razzles during spring break.... yuck. but to each his own. I'm no hottie, but stop on up to DeLand, it's a nice DZ. how come I've never seen the elusive Carrie there?
-
Have you booked any time yet? It's pretty full.

I got there, no problem, that's what cell phones are for I knew the general area, pointed the vehicle that direction, got close, called Doug, he gave me some hazy directions, and we were there -- right on time!! As a male, I can say that maps are way over-rated.
-
it's rigged in with cables and stuff....

in reply to: "lets have our own skydiving olympics!" We do -- it's called the World meet and in 2003 will be held in Gap, France. They are held every other year. Then there are the World Air Games -- that was the event in Japan. At that event there were all kinds of "air" related competitions. FWIW... I hear the IOC is reviewing skydiving this fall.

I know where Sebastian is, (florida east coast somewhere below Coca)... it was getting there that was the issue.
-
and you would know why?..
-
chapter 1 -- real estate.... typically involves some sort of building and or ground.... there, next chapter please
-
not only did she find Orlando, she found Daytona too!!! must have been the excellent directions....
-
well, technically, wouldn't that be considered a real estate type question?
-
OK, since Andrea can be somewhat "directionally challenged", It's like this -- I-4 east (make a left out of the tunnel, an immediate left on to Universal Blvd, first right on I-4 east). towards Daytona. drive as fast as humanly possible to exit 54 (route 44), it's a right off the exit (exit loops around), west on 44 to Kepler road. right on Kepler to International SPeedway blvd (route 92), left on 92, about a mile, a right into the airport. can't miss it. You may be able to get a ride from Geoff, Laura or Mike. they are jumping on a 4way team and will probalby train at DeLand, they all work at the tunnel. Since it's an "aipseed camp" (I'm assuming), none of the regular coaches from DeLAnd woudl be there, otherwise it's a snap to catch a ride with them.

Sebastian is a good 1.5 hours form the tunnel, no direct way to get there
