I do it all the time -- trying to guage run in, amount of time left, and anything gonig on weird. I also do it on commercial aircraft coming in for a landing if I know the airport, although the pilot doesn't like corrections. (had the scariest commercial landing a week or so ago, high winds, cross wind, I was lookind knew we weren't in a good spot, pilot did a hard right and landed almost immediately, scared the crap out of everyone)

I taked to Shannon yesterday, he's transfering to a new provider, who lost his info, so they have to rebuild it. Cliff notes: many hours of tunnel time and experimentation have led to teh belief (in and for 4way) that a belt is the best option vs a vest.

don't know if it's common or not, but if you have the january issue of Skydiving magazine around, look at teh picture on the front page, guy in teh sit --- thats a Wings withteh main and reserve flap flapping in teh breeze.

I'm sure it will shorty. Remeber CK's really isn't that old a DZ and as the DZ grows they'll add stuff as needed.
-
talk to Kruse, he knows his stuff, if it's slow around teh DZ I"m sure he'll help.

I bet PD does

weight and height???? I'm 6'2" and 200 pounds (well 195 right now) and can pretty much stay with most people. what I learned way back when is that your taught what in AFF (or similar student program) - arch arch arch!!!!! right? that is usually carried over to after student days. also, ina formation, I'd get so worried about going low, I'd tighten up (and of course arch harder) - a self fullfilling prophesy. so you may wan tot think about pushing your knees down into the wind more and relax. also a polycotten/suplex suit is a good idea - cordura booties also help. lots o drag

at 80 miles an hour, you can be there in no time!! :) (I made it from New Smyrna to Orlando airport in record time last week -- I left work at 5:52, and was at the gate for my 7:20 flight at 7:15). so 85-90 on I-95 is not out of the question.

correction - Mirage's new design, the old design had a flaw which would allow the toggle to become unstowed on opening. The new design will prevent that from happening.

the issue you run into when you're both at either extreme of fall rate is taking and presenting grips, while on a two way this may not be a big deal, add one more person and it becomes important to be in a mid range of fall rate.

a weight belt is much better to use than a vest.... http://www.shannonpilcher.com has a good explanation why. you also dont' need as much weight. a member of our 4way team went from 12 to 8 pounds simply by changing to a belt.

there was a certain 8 way team year before last that, bceause of busts, scored 0 on every dive (they'd get a point, but have it reversed cause of a bust), the last jump they held the first point for the entire skydive - got a 16 on that one!!! The NSL' snew handicap system is pretty good.

Bev is a regular there (Cross Keys) as well as over at the Herd... shoot she's right in New Tripoli if you want to go over there. you'll get all that from her!

it's actaully a solvent based rubber compound, and will stick to most anything (did anyone see American Pie 2, but I digress)... if you warm it up (very carefully) it is easier to apply and will smooth out nicely. Make sure everything is clean and dry before application. if you have shoe goo on your booties and send them back to the manufacturer for repair, chances are you'll get a new bootie as Rob says, needles dont' go through it very well.

www.bevsuit.com --- IMO making the best jump suit right now. you doing competition or not? that will make a difference in gripper design. get booties, call them, they can give you options to slow down the fall rate (suplex front, cordura booties, etc). they have excellent customer service (I've always gotten repairs and alterations done in less than a week), and her delivery times aren't to bad either.

0 - it's a trick question

you must also understand that if you get teh big baggy sleeves on the jump suit, it will seriously affect you when you go to pick up grips (in 4way for example). that much drag on the arms is not necessarily a good thing. basically she needs to get weights, especially if jumping with others. you should be in teh mid zone of flying for best performance.
-
who said you can't jump with others? just curious. anyway for solo drills, try dive out exits - but do it correctly line up straight in the door, front of door, jump up towards engine, right shoulder up (otter exit), middle of door, straight out, right shoulder up, rear of door, down and out, again, right shoulder up. for floatin exits, front of door get left leg as high as possible on exit (excellent to learn it for front float on 8way), center of door, get hips up and rear of door, think about throwing your shoulder down (while keeping it presented). other than that pick a point on teh horizon and start and stop 360's, do barrell rolls, front flips and back flips, helps with learning how the air affects your movements.

I have, I have!!! pick me......!!!! I posted the changes I noticed when I first had the mods done (before all the publicity, too). basically the openings became more of an adventure (more elliptical in nature if you know what I mean), they were a little fastr (not much), front riser pressure, definately higher - not so much as to prevent a riser turn however. didn't notice any difference in landing. I've jumped it in all kinds of conditions, and it is rock solid - FWIW. I load it around 1.7

JC is a fairly big guy, Luigi on the other hand is like 90 pounds soaking wet

Mike Mullins is on the national board, he got elected fair and square. to try to change some things

more than the diablo, just by basic design. (aspect ratio)

right, that's it, that's the one.... NOT

depends on how you define it... oldest in operation at the same place, or oldest withthe same name that may have moved a couple of time. Orange Mass was where sport parachuting really started in the states, so I'd bet on it (they moved, but went back a few years ago). The police in Orange even have skydiving in their emblem (which is kind of an interesting occurance)

yeah, but then you might get a buzz and want to take advantage of me....
