  1. no I would never have done that! I was in a euphoric state induced by an hour of tunnel time doing 4way!
  2. I thouht I heard something on my balcony last night
  3. I don't think he had to stoop he could see fine from the level where he is at!
  4. I *think* it's a zpo top skin, and a 0-3cfm bottom skin, it never really took off, the only folks that would really benefit from it were the CRW dogs, definately not a rigger! there is really no advantage for the extra struggle to pack them. Round reserves, BTW, are more advantageous in certain circumstances than squares.
  5. Guess what, a friend had a cutaway on a Javelin and *gasp* the PC was BLACK!! it was in a tree in the bushes, we found it no problem. I got to play touchy feely with a G4 today. very nice rig, again, Mirage has done an excellent job in the details (where it really matters IMO). The Lumbar support is adjustable, and VERY easily replaced if necesary (you could even make one if so inclined). I'
  6. Yeah, I didn't have mine snapped as well as it should have been and off it went. good thing the video guy was not shooting a steep angle that day!
  7. mirage comes standard with a leg pocket and snap for that knife. obviously you dont' have that, but a rigger should be able to put one on, I have found them easy to get to there (on the leg)
  8. I'm sure the answer will be WHAT PJ's?

thats it -- that's ALL you were dreaming about?
  14. not if you are turning points fast and furious, you fly flat and you will wobble around the sky like a lame duck. you need to have a slight arch in the hips maintained at all times, even during 360's and 540's. the position you describe is not correct, falling straight down -- mantis -- hands out in front of your face like someone has thrown a ball at your nose. see the mantis thread there are some good pictures. how can you possibly pick up grips in the position you describe?
  15. last time I did this -- I at least had a pole to hang onto and spin around.....
  16. so there I was at Kapowsin (I as in singular -- I think there was like 1 other person there last Saturday). and I noticed all the horses around -- does she take lessons around there? Boy, that place was hard to find too!
  17. "this one time, at band camp..."
  18. wow, that picture actually made me a bit chilly, I'm gonna have to go out of my office to the manufacturing floor where it is a chilly 90F right now to warm up! (they do say colder weather is on the way for the weekend though, high in the 70's brrrrrrr....)
  19. you won't see many trained 4/8way teams wearing a wrist mount. It gets in the way and will be covered up during the skydive anyway. Audibles are used and eventually you just know when to leave. Like I said I quit using mine over 1000 jumps ago (95% of those 4way).
  20. you can't see them in freefall, they are for canopy ride only and tracking. you can use a standard wrist alti and mount it to your leg strap easily. of course when packing it will take some abuse. I quit wearing one a few years ago when I droped mine and it broke. yes they wear an audible. When you get enough jumps from say 10,500 feet you also get a mental clock, and just know it's time to go. Or it could be you can see the ground in your periphery and it's a signal.

    AZ Wind Tunnel

If they haven't broke ground yet, there is a multitude of things to do prior to that happening. It is for all intents and purposes, November. to be open in April means April first, ok, so that's five months, but you have to least a month before you even break ground for preliminary site work -- that gives you the four months I was speaking of.
  22. Dude, I got your back -- 4way and skiing!
