  2. Hav you gotten a chance to shoot the new shorter Barrett? They took off the monster brake. The new smaller brake works with a suppressor. Makes life much nicer for the spotter. Not so much for the triggerman. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
  3. If you want a shorter and handier gun, Ruger M77 in 44 magnum is a good brush gun. It's effective in a shorter barrel. It has the power to knock down most targets. Good choice of bullets. Easy to cast if you're into that. Plus if you really want a treat, you can get it integrally suppressed. It won't drive tacks at hundreds of yards, but from what you're saying that's not an issue. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
  4. The question is have you been schooled in them. You asked where they intersect. They don't unless you use a category that is uselessly broad, such "SCOTUS" "seizures" or "4th amendment rulings". I said You answered with I corrected you, because (A) neither deals directly with discretion (B) only Gant covers probable cause and searches while Terry is reasonable suspicion and patdowns and (C) Gant covers search incident to arrest, not exigent circumstances. You then responded with text from other sources that proves my point. If you're a lawyer, I wouldn't want you to argue a case for me. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
  5. Just be sure to check the magazine spring, or have someone knowledgable and trustworthy do it for you. Other than that, it's a handy little rifle. All the usual caveats apply, but there aren't any real downsides to using it as a hunting gun. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
  6. Forgive my ignorance, but Isn't a weapon that mechanically loads itself after being fired an automatic weapon? The important difference is semi-auto versus full-auto. A lot of folks who want to increase restrictions on guns (or ban them outright) like to prey on public ignorance and intentionally confuse the two. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

  8. cbs, salon, ny daily, etc. I know you hate foxnews, but I don't see coverage on msnbc either. Do you think they're part of the VRWC too? Or is it more likely that networks have noticed that consumers are tuning out the minutae of occupy, do networks are airing other stories to keep ratings (revenue) up? witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
  9. Yep, but you know times are tough when even in "the best" countries the monarchs have to shut the lights and turn down the thermostat to save some cash. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
  10. He's funny. Couldn't tell if he was kiwi or a goldbricker through the beer, but funny. Either way I have to say Billy Connolly said it best. Find clips of his stand up wearing a strange black 5xl shirt in front of a red backdrop. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
  11. Actually, I will argue with you, because you're wrong. AZ v Gant was about search incident to arrest, not exigent circumstances. It has nothing to do with discretion any more than plain view, abandoned property, or the myriad other exceptions to the 4th. Furthermore, Terry is not about seraches and probable cuase. It specifically defines pat downs as different from searches and reasonable suspicion as a lesser standard than PC. You appear to be one of them. Do you bug yourself often? witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
  12. Tell us WHICH right OKLAHOMANS were denied, COUNSELOR. The right to BEAR arms in public for their RIGHT of self-defense, a right that pre-dates the Constitution. Oklahomans weren't denied that. Which ruling of the SCOTUS made it unconstitutional for a state not to issue CCW permits? So would it be your contention that women were not denied the right to vote, they just didn't have that right until the 19th amendment? Would you say slaves were not denied their rights, they just didn't have them until the 13th 14th and 15th amendments? Your games are not clever or entertaining. Add something of substance for a change. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
  13. AZ v Gant covers search incident to arrest and it's extent beyond suspect. Terry covers stop and or frisk based on reasonable suspicion. There is little or no intersection. But you're right. Lots of phooey. Particularly the professor's idea that no one has rights until a court says they do. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
  14. Wall Street execs camping out at St. Paul's? Wrong parasites, professor. We're talking about dirty squating protestors who are forcing a church to close its doors for the first time since the Nazis. We're talking about the ones that have done nothing useful, as opposed to the one that have done great good and great harm. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

  16. This is why religious leaders should stay out of government and financial policymaking. Vatican calls for global authority on economy, raps “idolatry of the market” The Vatican called on Monday for the establishment of a “global public authority” and a “central world bank” to rule over financial institutions that have become outdated and often ineffective in dealing fairly with crises Libya, Sharia: Adbul-Jalil announced that in future bank regulations would ban the charging of interest, in line with Sharia. 20. We tried that in Iran, sans nukes. How'd that work out for us? Vietnam? Etc. 21. +1. What he said. Now, do you want to explain that an officer doesn't even need PC to make a stop, that he can do it based on Reasonable Suspicion, or should we let them flounder? 22. So nice of them to (A) demand others provide for them with no compensation and (B) provide several reasons for law enforcement and government's services to take action against them. 24. They get info on the car. It varies by state, but generally includes year make model, registration date, inspection, sometimes color. It also includes registered owner name and indentifying number. Not likely, but if they take the name or ID and run it through their driver check, they may get history. They can also run the name through a local database for arrest records and such. Unless its 2am or you're driving poorly, I doubt it. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
  25. Some here in SCland might consider me to be a "liberal" (whatever that means), and personally I could not care less how much ammo you care to accumulate. So no heart attack here I'm afraid. On the other hand, should your house/trailer/bunker ever catch fire, you might want to let the firefighters know what you've got stored in there. And then you might be prepared to stand back and watch them let it burn, unless you've got it all in a fireproof safe or some such container. This happened a few years ago when a house down the block from me caught fire; firefighters were quick on the scene and might have been able to keep the fire confined, but when rounds started exploding the firefighters pulled out and bye-bye house. Don Not a fire pro or gun guy, are you? If you want to scare a firefighter, tell them you have scuba gear or TNT inside. Other than that, they don't have to worry. (A) modern rounds don't explode; (B) firefighters don't have to pull out due to popping rounds - they pulled out for another reason or a poorly informed policy or command decision; or (C) it was black powder, not modern cases rounds. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
