  1. If the current law on straw purchases is effective, why is this web site necessary? I never said the current law was effective. I said it would be with proper enforcement. Also, the NSSF and NAFR are proud of their teamwork with BATFE. Getting the word out about serious enforcement is a great deterent to crimes. Just look at the amazing results from Project Exile. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

  4. So what is XKeys doing for Safety Day? Any seminars/classes/infomerical type stuff? Basically, will anything special be going on? (I won't be jumping, and I can always review cutaways at home) So would it be worth it to drag my sorry ass and my better half down to South Jersey? witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

  7. Well, I don't want to be the one to end their life, but I don't mind throwing them into a cell for most of their worthless existance. Sadly this is true. I'll leave that up to more people than just me (unless some vermin becomes an immediate threat). witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
  8. That is why the fourth rule of gun safety is "Know your target, and what lies beyond." You don't shoot when there is something you don't want to destroy behind your target. Just like when you go hunting you don't shoot without checking the background, all shooters must do that, even for self defense. No, every person is responsible for every round they fire. Even police. If you shoot, miss your target, and hit a person, you are responsible. If someone shot the way you described (as I know John wouldn't), they would be guilty of involutary manslaughter (a much smaller murder charge), criminal negligence, and would have to face civil suits for wrongful death. edit to add: THe first three rules are: 1. Every gun is loaded. 2. Never point a gun at anything you aren't willing to destroy. 3. Keep your finger straight and off the trigger until ready to fire. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

  12. That happens to be a felony at state and federal levels, so I don't know what you mean by "allowed." It's called a straw purchase, and people go to jail for it. Just ask the ATF. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

  14. Well, to all the people who'll be in Georgia, thanks for shitting on my thread. 20. This is one of those things we can't know without being on the jury. When a person is shot, they tend to react with different muscle contractions, including turning, hunching forward, and pulling their arms into their chest. If the officer fired twice in quick succession, it's possible ot hit a suspect in the back without even knowing it, and then have to shoot the guy again because he's still coming. As to why the officer shot "after he backed up," I'd really have to hear his explanation for that, and my verdict would probably hang on that. However, I'm sure at least one or two on the jury decided he was guilty before ever reaching the courtroom. It'll all depend on how the lawyers present the case and themselves to the jury. It's a he said/she said, and the cop is guilty until proven innocent on this one. Not how it should be, but how it is. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

  22. This is the original stroy, from a thread that had to be locked. 24. Well, the best reason I can think of why not to have one is that most of the population doesn't want one. THey ought to just call is it a mandatory Natioanl ID card, and put that up for a vote in the congress. Instead they're building up these ridiculous doublespeak rules and hoping no one reads it. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
