Once again, not every situation calls for a firearm, but that doesn't mean having one is a bad thing. Dave, John, myself, Jeffrey, every other serious gun owner on the forum has at one point or another tried to make people understand that having one does not mean you will use it at every opportunity. Oh, I'm well aware that horrible crimes happen all over the place, but my point was you don't need metal detectors unless the kids are going at gang warfare and stabbings, etc are a regular occurance (like at some inner city schools before they got detectors and armed guards). FOXNew's news shows are generally found to be far less biased and sensationalized than other stations' news shows.
