    Does this happen a lot in America? I am more worried about people carrying the ability to kill me at a distance than the possibility of meeting a crazed psycho. Maybe the chances of meeting the psycho is much higher in America than it is in Germany.

    mmmmm.. To keep the number of threads about this breast on the increase maybe we should have a poll about the quality of the breast. We could also post pictures of other breast to which we could compare the breast in question. What do you think?

    I have no examples of CYPRES caused deaths either. That is not to say that I cannot think of a number of scenarios where CYPRES could cause a death. a) you pull low, as your main opens, CYPRES fires and your reserve joins the main to create a mess. b) I have also seen a number of people with two out due to a CYPRES fire. If the "two out" is not handled properly it can also cause a death. OK, in both cases above you can argue that the cause was something else other than the CYPRES. However, you can still claim that without a CYPRES the problem would not have escalated to cause a death. I believe the point you make about RSL's (consider the pro's and con's) apply equally well to AAD's (including CYPRES).

    Canopy training should start with the very 1st jump and continue forever. How much one should pay for such tuition/coaching/advice/training is a matter of debate.

    It is quite a big deal over here in europe as well. It's in all the tabloids. The big deal is that it was not just any old tit, it was Janet Jackson's tit. Now you can make up your own mind whether a Janet Jackson tit is such a big deal, but, the press in europe thinks it is.

    If you don't want to bother maintaining it why bother buying one in the first place? The maintence cost's are small compared to the purchase price. Ask airtec, they do find units that are not operating to perfection and they do replace parts on such units. Your cypres may not be in a position to work at all and you don't even know it.

    I'd have no reservations about landing large canopies on rear riser's even in non-optimal conditions. I only have small reservations about landing my small canopy in rears only. I believe the original statements holds. But of course, when you are on a Manta 288, that's when to start learning this skill.
