  1. Interesting background you must have, completely knowing the minds of those in the Russian Nuclear force and have such an understanding of the of command and control functions of the launch systems in place. Also interesting is your firm statement that Russians are "cowards at their core". Perhaps in between international speaking engagements you could enlighten those of us with enquiring minds but without your incredible insight and connections.
  2. Although her being a cheerleader is a positive, no one here who is serious cares if she was white. But did you really have to say "sweaty"? Kids read this, you know.
  3. Could be. Do you believe in a creator? If so , which, if any , book do you look to for support and confirmation?
  4. No, not even marginally. The book of your Creator is verified bunk. It demands submission and adherence to notions that are provable nonsense. Science is simply trying to know the reality of things. Sadly, for so many, that is more than they can comprehend.
  5. Believing in a Creator is not following the science.
  6. Prighozin, Wagner’s leader, is now arguing that Russia should end the war with what gains are in hand. Interestingly, Wagner no longer has access to Russian prisoners and is running out of steam, and ammunition, in Bahkmut after huge losses. I guess it’s a win win when you allow 10% of your prison population to come home free after 90% were killed.
  7. What do lawyers who just won $787,500,000 on contingency look like?
  8. I honestly believe that Russia is about to get their asses kicked again. I suspect that Ukraine will attack to take Tokmak and the rail and river transport Russia needs to supply their operations. Russia needs rail and river because their truck transport is miserable; they are unable to even keep their truck tires inflated. After that it will be off to the races for another year of Russian embarrassments until winter again gives the AFU time to refit. Dasvidaniya, comrade.
  9. Close. He's OK with the lessening because it is who he is.
  10. It seems likely that serial killers are acts of nature, given history. I want to believe that on a societal level we can do much to lessen the numbers. No, I am not including single act mass murderers. And no, I do not believe transgender biological males should compete against biological females in sports where said females have invested huge portions of their lives to excel competing against biological females. That said, if a female competitor, like your wife or daughter for example, were found to be XY late in life and her competition cycle we should let things play out: humanity before competition, if you will. The reality here is that separating sexes based on genitalia alone isn't answering every important question and, as usual, societal issues are falling well behind scientific understandings.
  11. They are not freaks of nature, they are acts of nature. That, whether your blindered view of the world will permit you to see or not, means that their condition is as natural as your own. Someday your kids, who will grow up enlightened in spite of your best efforts, will use AI to see what sort of stuff dear old dad used to post online. Then you will pay.
  12. I get it that things evolve and so on, but what caused me to become involved here and participate was the variety of clever things being discussed and, the admittedly arrogant notion, that I had something useful to offer. Now most of what is being posted here could as easily be found in the comments section below and Huffpost article. Maybe another thread somewhere between Bonfire and General could be created to make a home for some of what is now the unfortunate norm here.
  13. You're right, we do need a sarcasm font
  14. In fairness, if their attentions need be directed anywhere we could do worse than the cancellation of Bud Light.
  15. Gentleman, please, SC prides itself on it's posters originality.
  16. You're right again. I very much would like it were BIGUN to jump feet first into a debate on the merits of identifying as a conservative in these times.
  17. Nope. Worldwide Chicken is King. It's available everywhere in volume, hence the proliferation and success of KFC's to just name one international brand. Pizza gets the ratings but chicken is the real money maker in every economy.
  18. That, I doubt. Chick-fil-a is a Christian, anti-abortion, anti-Liberal, anti-woke business to it's core. Christians flocked to it a few years back as a way of owning Liberals. They have a rock solid clientele.
  19. You get an extra cookie tonight.
  20. It is, actually, and for damn good reasons. Do you think your average school shooter went with the AR-15 because of the ejection system or the 5.56 round? Nope, not a chance. And when they get a MCX Spear in .277 Fury or 6.5 Creedmoor it won't be owing to their own determination that one action or cartridge is the better, it'll be because too many gun nuts who should know better have mythologized the damn thing in popular gun magazines.
  21. Looking past this latest distraction, aren't Lithium Air Batteries the next possible thing? Maybe not for consumer stuff yet but out in the desert to start fe example?
  22. The Roberts Court is now officially both illegitimate and corrupt. This fiasco is such a national embarrassment.
  23. I suspect he'd be very safe whereas they'd likely kick my scrawny ass out the door. The dearth of decent starting points is the real problem and I just don't think letter writing to a Blue State legislator is worth doing. I see it as a big scheme of things issue: we need a lot more voters who aren't registered Republican to be pandered to by more benign special interests. At the end of the day, if we really care about our democracy, do we want more AOC's and the squad or more maniacs like Greene, Boebert, Jordan, and Glosar?
