  1. All fine and good but the fine fellow was exercising his second amendment rights by shooting birds for shits and giggles not killing varmints like feral cats, which are also sick fuck assholes that like killing birds for fun.
  2. People see things differently, and regionally, but in my neck of the woods squirrels, prairie dogs, rabbits, and ground hogs aren't often thought of as birds and anyone who would shoot a pheasant or a turkey with a .22 pellet gun is not only a sick fuck but his friends are assholes.
  3. Birds? Which ones, Sparrow's, Cardinals? An adult shooting birds with a pellet gun sounds like a sick fuck to me.
  4. "A 2-year-old child was struck in the head by an apparent stray bullet Monday at a Utah day care center, authorities said. The child was taken to Primary Children’s Hospital and was in stable condition and improving as of Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred in Spanish Fork, around 50 miles south of Salt Lake City. A man who was shooting birds in the area west of the daycare center with a .22 caliber air rifle has been identified as a person of interest, Spanish Fork police said Wednesday in a news release." Shooting birds with a .22 air rifle. Why not?
  5. So.... you're on the minority of the climate change consensus, you're on the minority side of the gun control issue, you're on the minority side of the equal rights issue and now, go figure, you've extended you're joyful anti-wokeness to Light Beer. Tell me, do you still have a VCR and get your milk delivered, too?
  6. And if a tear has to fall, well it's all in the game. All in the wonderful game, of guns..... "A fight over food turned violent in Kentucky this week when police say a man opened fire on his roommate in retaliation for him eating the last Hot Pocket, reports local news station ABC 12. According to the Louisville Metro Police Department, 64-year-old Clifton Williams became irate when he learned that his roommate, who has not been identified, cooked up and devoured the final mini-sandwich that had been stored in their freezer. Police say that Williams initially began "throwing tiles" at the roommate, which prompted the roommate to attempt to flee the area. Williams grabbed a firearm and shot his roommate in the buttocks as he was trying to leave, the report said."
  7. So, what you're missing is that there are multiple problems. One of which is a warming planet and another of which is the prevalence of short term, selfish thinking based on lame assed arguments that the cost is too high. You know, like the old AAD arguments. No matter, with or without you it's happening.
  8. You are no less boring than ever. So what if you are right between bookends, the big scheme of things still exists.
  9. Certainly that's all right as I see it. too. But, just to make it easier for the reality challenged I say adopt a catchall category and tell everyone to let it go.
  10. Maybe there should be a third category: all sexes, all genders. XX with the Boys, XY with the Girls, and XX/XY for anyone who doesn't want to be shoehorned into a genetic category.
  11. Back to our poor, bumbling, demented, and scared of his shadow President. Not heard around a water cooler in the south, when told that Putin said that providing F-16's to Ukraine is a colossal risk he replied: "It is for them".
  12. You mean like Ronald Reagan? Seriously Tim, that's an old and often recycled trope. Try something new.
  13. I guess, maybe, but you seemed to suggest that a throw down might be the solution. By whom?
  14. By whom? The Cops? What exactly are you suggesting?
  15. Sure, loud and clear: vote for gun or ammunition controls and the money and votes will stop. Funny how in our not too distant past we were able to get under control Tommy Guns and others war weapons like Clyde Barrow's sawed off Browning Automatic Rifle with the modified 40 round clip.
  16. HIROSHIMA, Japan (Reuters) - U.S. President Joe Biden on Sunday said he had received a "flat assurance" from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy that he would not use Western-provided F-16 fighter jets to go into Russian territory. Biden told reporters in Hiroshima, Japan, at the conclusion of a meeting of world leaders that F-16 warplanes could be used "wherever Russian troops are within Ukraine and the area". Not much room for misunderstanding now: Ukraine is getting F-16's. Now lets also free up the 24 F-18 Super Hornets Australia retired but can't sell.
  17. Commonly suggested but how can it be done without a congressional vote?
  18. Do you honestly believe that only gun hugging, pry my cold dead fingers off my AR-15 folks, are capable of being "good old American patriots"? It's you who needs to try harder, a whole lot harder.
  19. Relax and read what you wrote. You put your kids second to your freedom/guns, not me. I simply pointed out that you did so.
  20. Biden is probably the most seasoned statesman in America. Maybe he's blowing it or maybe he's simply mindful of the best way to eat an elephant. Americans are always somewhat defeated out of the gates by our two year congressional time frame and our four year Presidential cycle. We hurry, hurry, hurry and then complain about how we hurry, hurry, hurry. When we get a President who take it more slowly and in a measured way even his supporters start screaming dementia. Not only do we not know what we don't know but we for damn sure don't know what he actually does know.
  21. Lets not deny any anti-wokers the privilege to be trans. That would be bad.
  22. Right across the board. However, the facts are that a strong work ethic and a willingness to sacrifice your time and desires for transient material pleasures is strongly correlated to not being piss broke in your old age. More than any other reason that is why woke is the right play on a macroeconomic societal level: give everyone the same tools now and pay for fewer poor people later. Maybe if the anti-woke woke up and realized it was a purely selfish thing to do they'd hit the streets with signs in support.
  23. I wasn’t thinking of you but rather about debt complainers generally. National Debt for sure isn’t like household debt. I have EU real estate denominated in Euros and US real estate denominated in dollars. I’m never sure who I’m rooting for. But it’s easy to notice that a 5% drop in the buck changes the debt equation.
  24. We all saw Kallends numbers, positive against negative and a net. Of course it goes both ways. Most folks, me excluded, fret over the national deficit. Of course, the complaint is that we’re leaving debt to our kids. Fair enough. But to all who so worry I ask what are you doing for your heirs that you think government should be doing first? That is to ask: have you really busted your ass to accumulate wealth to pass on? Have you really done your best to help your kids regardless of what government does? Because if you haven’t then you have even more difficult questions to ask.
