I know someone who did this. Their rigger simply moved the "Last Battery Change" sticker to the other unit. Just because the batteries have been installed once doesn't mean they can't be pulled out and reused as long as they're not over 2 years from original install or have gone over 500 jumps. Exactly. People need to keep the joking to The Bonfire and out of the topical forums. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™ -

Incorrect. When a canopy turns, it loses altitude quite quickly. To the original poster, I highly recommend The Parachute And Its Pilot, by Brian Germain. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™ -
Kris's Famous Chicken Enchilada Soup! -------------------------------------------- 2 10oz cans cream of chicken soup 1 10oz can enchilada sauce 1 can of milk 1 can of water 2 cans diced white chicken (cheap is really gooood because it gets all stringy) 1/2 - 3/4 of a large onion, diced. Mix everything together in a soup pot or crock pot. In a soup pot, bring to a boil and then reduce to low and let it simmer for about 30 mins. If you crockpot it, let it go for at least 90 minutes, on low. Serve with corn tortillas and enjoy!!! Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Ditto. That has to be the funniest remake of a song ever. Coming in a close second is Shinebox's Country Music cover of Gin and Juice Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

As a matter of fact.... Squeak, Thanks. Wingi, it was a good cover story. Or so I thought. We were just going through a bunch of pictures and momentos and I pull this cross out of the box. It had a bit of a bend in it, so I gently tried to fix it, only to pull off the head of Jesus in the process. I think there was coinciding thunder and lightning outside as it happened. So, if anyone needs me, I'll be out doing missionary work to atone for my sins now. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

need help friend wants to start AFF but has ear problems
Kris replied to incode's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
That's the important part. Incode's friend needs to speak to a doctor that is practiced in Aviation Medicine. If you contact the FAA, they can give you a list, and I'm sure they have a list on their website as well. Edited to add: Sorry, just noticed you're in OZ, so you'd contact your goverment aviation authority. -
He's been around DZ.com, and especially SC, a lot longer than you, it's an interesting screen name he has if you think about it. Besides, ReBirth is a fellow beer snob, so I have to cut him slack. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Good for you. Here's a cookie. Now what about people that have low-bandwidth connections or aren't running Flash? What if someone who's blind (like jumper Dan Rossi) wants to visit the site. Their text-to-speech software isn't going to work with flash either. The world is bigger than you. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

I refuse to go to websites that are flash only. I'll make the company spend more money by calling them directly and tying their staff up with my questions. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Drag & drop files, yes. Songs, no. And the iPod isn't the only one with that limitation. As for pulling songs *off* the iPod using drag & drop, yes. All day long. They're in the Music folder. If the rechargeable battery dies, replace it. There are several kits with instructions on how to do so. In fact, I just upgraded to a larger battery last month that gives me about another 25% more playing time. My current iPod is about a year old and I use it daily in my car. I was still getting about 14 hours per use between charges with the backlight off, and 10 hours with it on. For me, the iPod is worth it for the useability. Name any other player that you can put into someone's hands and they can fully run it after playing with it for less than 2 minutes. My iPod has been kicked, dropped, suffered through a hard opening, gone crosscountry at 13K, and been dunked and I haven't been able to kill this one yet. It has also never locked up on me like my friend's Dell has done on him. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Like I said.. Jump through Hoops. I have 2 other MP3 Players now. Plug them in, They show as a Drive. Do what you want. MUCH easier. My iPod shows up as a drive on all of my XP and Linux boxes without having to install anything extra. If you're going to bash something, try learning more about it first, m'kay? Bullshit. I've never used iTunes with my iPod. I use a freeware program called ephPod, and Music Match jukebox works with it as well. For ease of use, amazing user interface, and just plain functionality, nothing beats an iPod. The damn thing just works. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Skydiving rules have nothing to do with BASE. Although he'd be better off and a lot safer if he had a lot more skydiving experience, focusing on canopy flight and rigging. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

I found this on Slashdot.org and thought this could bear repeating here... Digital Camera Failures Synopsis: "In the past week, four major camera makers have quietly published service advisories admitting their digital cameras are dying. In each case, the flaw appears to involve Sony CCD sensors using epoxy packaging that eventually lets in moisture. Sony's own cameras are among those affected, and the company also has dozens of affected camcorder models. Sony is believed to be picking up the tab for the repairs for the other camera makers as well, regardless of warranty status. (If true, a laudable approach.) Given the large numbers of cameras that are potentially involved, this can't be good news for Sony, who apparently already is expecting losses, and who has also recently announced major layoffs."
