Wouldn't even consider it. I think that being with someone other than your partner is cheating, and that's something I don't do. Ever.

Chateau Ste. Michelle Johannisberg Riesling Badger Mountain Johannisberg Riesling (organic) Martin & Weyrich California Muscato Allegro All about $10. The Rieslings are not too sweet, and not too dry, a nice balance. The Muscato is quite sweet, and tastes a little like peaches and pears.

Jeez. Anything for recognition and /or money?

Give Hussein the best damn council we can come up with. Because if (when?) he's convicted, it won't be overturned because of incompetent council. -
If I hadn't decided to go to law school, I'd have bought a condo or something by now. However, now it's going to have to wait another few years. The trade off will be worth it, though. At the moment, I'm renting an apartment with a friend.

No, I don't give money to beggars. However, I will walk with them to the nearest restaurant and buy them food, or into the grocery store to get formula or whatnot. I donate to charities who help the needy instead.

yep. Rilke wrote the first, and Shakespeare wrote the second.

There's an artist here in California who does helmet painting. She did a beautiful job on mine and I'd recommed her to anyone. I need to take some pics of my helmet, but here's her website. She's got only a really small sampling of her work up here, though. http://www.pantagruel.net/cv.html

check with your instructors/S&TA, etc when you are ready to buy gear. depends on where your skills are at, and everyone progresses at a different rate. Personally, I weigh a little less than you do and jump a 190 at 80 jumps, and plan on staying on my 190 for quite a while yet.

Here's a harder one... this is one of my most favorite poems J'ai une telle conscience de ton etre, rose complete, que mon consentement te confond avec mon coeur en fete. Je te resprire comme si tu etais, rose, toute la vie, et je me sense l'ami parfait d'une telle amie. and another... different author, much easier My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun; Coral is far more red than her lips' red; If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun; If hairs be wires, black wires grow on her head. I have seen roses damask'd, red and white, But no such roses see I in her cheeks; And in some perfumes is there more delight Than in the breath that from my mistress reeks. I love to hear her speak, yet well I know That music hath a far more pleasing sound; I grant I never saw a goddess go; My mistress, when she walks, treads on the ground: And yet, by heaven, I think my love as rare As any she belied with false compare.

YAY!!!!!! Come on out to Perris sometime this week and we'll jump! Drop me a PM and let me know when.

I'd just finished. It was empty, but you're right. I'm just learning, and will be more careful next time.

I'm left eye dominant, and ambidextrous, so I shoot lefty to make things easier. It's damn near impossible to shoot a rifle right handed, but sight with your left eye. And I was in the process of setting it down when my friend took the pic.

I'd really encourage you to demo a silhouette. It was a wonderful beginner canopy for me, and less expensive than some of the others (around $1400 at square 1 as opposed to the sabre2, which is about $200 more) My boyfriend jumps a pilot and loves it. I've never jumped one, so I really can't say.

I think that marking sponsored jumpers is a nice feature, but not really necessary. I jump at Perris, so, while I'm not sponsored myself, I know several sponsored jumpers. What I've gathered from them is that the majority of them are sponsored by companies that they'd purchase gear from anyway, so it doesn't seem like they're any more biased than any other jumper who likes their gear. They seem to jump what they like, and getting it for cheaper is a nice bonus. A friend (who was not trying to get me to buy gear) put it this way..."I'm sponsored by *company*, but even if I wasn't, I'd buy one, because I think they're the best out there, and they're what I feel most comfortable using."

I've got a spectre and a silhouette, and have demoed a sabre2. My favorite of the three is the silhouette. flies great, lands great, and easy to pack because it's a ZP/F111 hybrid. I liked the spectre, opens really soft and lands nicely. The sabre2 I demoed consistently opened off heading, but once open, flew and landed beautifully.

from web-holidays.com Boxing Day In England a long time ago… servants were required to work on Christmas. They were responsible for making the holiday run smoothly for wealthy landowners. They were allowed to take leave on December 26th and visit their families. The employers gave each servant a box containing gifts and bonuses. In addition, around the 800s' churches opened their alms boxes (boxes where people place monetary donations) and distributed the contents to poor. In England today… Few people have servants but the custom of giving gifts or money to those who provide service continues. It is also popular to visit grandparents and shop (the after Christmas discounts begin). Many people get the day off from work. Watching sports especially horse races is also a popular activity. Boxing Day is also celebrated in places where the English have settled or have influence like Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and Scotland. Some places observe Boxing Day on December 26th and some celebrate it on the first weekday following Christmas, so, if Christmas falls on Friday or Saturday Boxing Day would be on the following Monday. Now, the actual origin of this holiday is debatable and has been debated, one idea being more popular than the other at a given time. St. Stephen's Day is also celebrated on December 26th. Stephen one of Jesus' disciples. Shortly after Jesus' crucifixion he was accused of preaching blasphemy and he was stoned to death becoming the first Christian martyr.

hehe. I knew you'd get it.

I think giving it to someone else is ok, so long as it's just a "I have this and thought you would like it" rather than a birthday or christmas gift. If it's a "just because" thing, it's cool, but birthday and christmas presents should be picked out special.

hehe... how I spent my winter vacation (see pic)

Why I, as an Atheist, celebrate Christmas
Nightingale replied to PhillyKev's topic in Speakers Corner
Because it's a belief system, same as Christian, Jewish, Islam, Buddhist, Deist, etc. -
Perris' sign says something like "Tipping your instructor is allowed, but never expected or required." or something like that. I got the feeling it was a question they got asked a lot, so they just put up a sign with the answer on it.

gotta love google... if you can't find a song by the title, put the first line in quotes. Little Yellow Spider Little yellow spider laughing at the snow Well maybe that spider knows something that I don't know Cuz I'm goddamn cold Little white monkey staring at the sand Maybe that monkey figured out something I couldn't understand Who knows Well I came upon a dancing crab and I stopped to watch it shake, I said, 'Dance for me just one more time before ya hibernate, and ya come out a crab cake' And hey there little snapping turtle, snapping at a shell Oh there's mysteries inside I know But what they are I just can't tell for sure And hey there little baby crow, you're looking kind of mean I think I oughta split before ya start letting off your spleen For sure And hey there little sexy pig, you mated with a man And now you've got a little kid With hooves instead of hands And oh all of the animals, all of the animals And hey there little mockingbird, they sing about you in songs 'Oh where ya been? Have ya broke a wing?' I haven't heard ya in so long And hey there little albatross, swimming in the air 'Aw, hey ya know I can't fly and I Think we really oughta play fair' And hey there mister happy squid, you move so psychedelically You hypnotize with your magic dance all the animals in the sea For sure And oh all of the animals, all the animals And hey there Mr. Morning Sun, what kind of creature are you I can't stare, but I know you're there Goddamn, how I wish I knew And hey there Mrs. Lovely Moon, you're lonely and you're blue It's kind of strange the way you change But then again, we all do too
