It is political. A satire, but it does address political and religious issues. It's also quite funny.

I have the third, fourth and fifth. I'll be at Perris on friday, if you want to borrow them, provided you'll be in perris long enough to read them and give them back

Mac laptops start around a grand, and their emac desktops start at $799. Mac makes a wireless card for the desktops and laptops. With the emacs and Imacs, the screen is built into the system, so you don't need to buy a monitor, and the keyboard and mouse are included. Take it out of the box, plug into the wall, and turn on. They're wonderful systems. I'm converting from PC to mac very soon.

ask a college student in the area. Lots of times universities have ticket centers that sell tickets for local attractions. My college sold disneyland tickets at a discount, so maybe they do that in florida as well.

with regards to fire pits, if you're in a city, you have to comply with fire codes or risk a citation. The dropzone would need permits for packing shelters, bunkhouses, ponds, RV hookups, etc, not to mention the permits they already need for the planes and fuel and fuel storage and machinery for dispensing fuel and all that shit. Permits for upgrades can be costly, and many permits have to be renewed every year. They have to pay for an inspection, plus the permits, which can range from several hundred to several thousand dollars each, and all that adds up.

most of the teachers I know, if they're not married, can't afford to retire. I'll freely admit that money was a factor in my choosing to go to law school. However, if I wasn't interested in the law, you could pay me a fortune and I wouldn't do it. Also, if it didn't pay enough for me to pay my bills, I wouldn't do it. I quit teaching because I simply couldn't afford to stay in the profession. I couldn't pay my rent. Being a teacher, a doctor, a lawyer, etc, isn't an easy thing. I think the profits should reflect the difficulty inherent in the job and the requirements to enter the field, and the cost of the training involved (education degree/credential, medical school, law school, etc). I can't imagine many people would become doctors if they knew they were going to finish school with $200 K in student loans, but were only going into a job that paid $25K. The profession would not only be unprofitable, but it would make people leave for higher paying fields.

Well, when I did my tandems, I knew I was taking a risk. I did feel like it was a little less of a risk because I was jumping with someone who had done it 7000 times and was incredibly current, simply because it removed the inexperience factor from the list of reasons why shit goes wrong.

It's rare to see anyone help a complete stranger for no reason other than to be kind. That's what's important about this story. It's refreshing to see someone do something positive, without suspicion that the other party might be "scamming."

yeah, they just bump you over to the next load. No big deal. more time to dirt dive.

Personally, I use the web templates that come with Xara Webstyle. They easily let you design title graphics, navbars and menus, as well as bar graphics and other stuff. The images are extremely customizeable, and very intiutive. Cheap too, compared to other programs. www.xara.com You can download a free version to experiment. I then use IBM TopPage to set up the layout. Top page is really nice because you can use the WYSIWYG screen to see what things will look like, place items and put in tables and forms, and then toggle to the html screen and paste in javascript or code. I mostly use the HTML screen, but I think most users use the WYSIWYG screen. It's versatility makes it very useful.

Perris is always running so many planes that a lot of tandems really isn't too much of an issue. There's usually two or three tandems on every load, so it's pretty spread out, and if you can't get on the very next plane, you can get on the one after that, and once you're on it, it's extremely rare that anyone gets bumped. The only time I've ever seen manifest bump jumpers off a load is when things have slowed down and they're shutting a plane down. I'm sure it's happened, but I haven't seen it.

Photo albums on every table. People will look through them, see your dad and maybe themselves, and it'll start "remember when Lew and I..." stories. Blank memory books next to the photo albums (with plenty of pens) might encourage people to write their stories down. If you can find someone to put together a video of important occasions or fun memories, showing that could be a good way to get things started. My family has always included plenty of good alcohol, good food with everyone bringing something to share, and upbeat (but not overpowering or distracting) music, but then again, we're Irish, so we've kinda americanized the wake custom.

if I hadn't done a tandem, I wouldn't be skydiving today. I rode the plane down on level 2, after a really bad attack of the door monster nerves. There was no way I had the courage to go up there and try another level 2 that day. The same thing would probably happen again, because I'd given into it once. If I'd left the dropzone, I probably wouldn't have come back. It would've been a really hard thing to do. So...I did a tandem with an instructor I really trusted. We did a level 2 skydive, but tandem. I was a little nervous on exit, but was smiling on landing. I came back a few days later and did level 2, and finished AFF within a few weeks. Doing that second tandem helped me find strength within myself, and remember how much I loved skydiving. Tandems are a way for people to get a taste of how fun and exciting skydiving can be. I found that in my AFF 1, I had so much to do (altitude, check main JM, check reserve JM, adjust body position according to hand signals, etc...) that I didn't have time to just enjoy it. On a tandem, the passenger doesn't have to do anything in the sky but fall and arch. It gives you the opportunity to taste what it's like, without the agenda of AFF. I think the guys who invented the tandem are brilliant. It gets people to try our sport that wouldn't otherwise, and some of those jumpers become licensed. I never thought for a moment, when I signed up for my first tandem that I'd ever jump after that. It was simply a check box on my life's to do list. I was back the next weekend doing AFF. A tandem skydive gave me a taste of the sky, and the second tandem reminded me why I love it.

sticking with the simpsons theme, I think she looks more like a "Maggie"

personally, I'd pick a torso color other than blue, so it'll contrast with your rig rather than blend in.

I remember hearing somewhere that teeth weren't as bad then as most people think, as the poor did not have much access to sweets and sugar and other foods that promote tooth decay. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/3722598.stm

well, a big part of forgiveness, from my perspective, is not allowing the person or event to affect you or your mental well being. It's about moving on and getting over it. Forgiving helps get rid of the anger and hurt, so you can think about the situation rationally. Forgetting...now that is another matter.

are you living with friends or parents, if you're not renting and don't own a home? if so, your stuff may be covered under their homeowner's insurance. You'll have to check with them. If you're a student, there are companies that sell personal property insurance for students living in campus housing. (example: national student insurance company, $5000 in insurance, $50 deductable is $7 a month. That's two starbuck's coffees.) Otherwise, you can either attach it to your car insurance, or get a policy that insures the rig only.

I haven't tried their reds...honestly, I picked the riesling up because of the pretty blue bottle. I figured if I didn't like the wine, I could at least keep the bottle for something! LOL! I'll see if whole foods or henrys has tablas creek. I was surprised at how good the organic wine tasted.

I play neverwinter, and I've got nvidia geforce cards on both my desktop and laptop. haven't had any problems. I think both cards have 64 mgs ram. As a sidenote, I had the skipping freeze frame problem with everquest 2. I added more ram and it fixed the problem. I've now got 1 gig ram in my laptop, upgraded from 512. Neverwinter ran fine on 512 for me, but again, I've got a good video card.

I used to lease apartments, and in my experience, it was pretty easy to convince the apartment complex to let you leave if you were a crime victim. Just tell them how scared you are living across the hall from a criminal, and that you feel the need to inform the entire complex. However, California's leasing laws are very different from colorado's, so you're better off seeking advice from people familiar with the situation in Colorado.

Most of the time if a dog is a problem, the source of the problem is the owner.
