I'd stay away from the version 3 models. Any one of those is old and well past its life expectancy. You'll also probably have to have AT&T to use one. If you were determined and wanted to dick around with the phone, I think they can also be hacked to work on T-Mobile, but I don't think that's really your style. If they were available when my kid was 13, I wouldn't have hesitated to give her one provided that she was responsible and didn't have a habit of breaking / losing things. I may even have used it as an example of "Now you have a thing that's made for adults. Conduct yourself as an adult and you'll get more of these types of things" It gives a kid a means of contact, camera, video, tunes, games, and the parent the ability to see where the phone is, all in one package. The "two bullets" example is not a thought experiment and it was used to point out that vertical and horizontal acceleration are independent of each other. It's a perfectly valid example of that fact. Lift and drag have nothing to do with it unless the bullets are different shapes or sizes. Owned by Remi #?

Yeah, I said that. Let's give it some context from the original thread. Someone said, to paraphrase, that they hated the "droppy feeling" from roller coasters and expected it to last 30 seconds on a skydive. My response was an attempt at a brief and simple explanation of why that wasn't going to be the case, or at least there would only be a little bit of that sensation in the first 10 seconds or so. There is little or no "droppy feeling" associated with skydiving from an airplane. That feeling comes from acceleration. Going from a slow speed to fast, etc. When you jump from an airplane going 80-90 mph, you're already going that fast when you exit. Speeding up to 120 mph over the next 10 seconds doesn't create much of a "droppy feeling" Owned by Remi #? -

My Neptune shuts down, freezes, or resets every time I jump in the cold, regardless of battery charge. It also randomly resets on 1 in 20 warm weather jumps. You get used to it. Owned by Remi #? -
Years ago, we had a guy show up at our DZ claiming to have a hundred jumps or so. He had a little pocket-rocket rig and full camera helmet that he wanted to jump. He didn't "seem" right. The DZO took the rig to inspect it and checked it again the lists. It was listed. Owned by Remi #?

The purpose of hate crime legislation is to impose additional punishment for crimes that have an impact on a group of people not directly involved with the specific crime. History proves that, from time to time, one group of people will start to persecute and h arras others, and will make it clear that they are doing it because of a difference in religion, race, sexuality, etc. Those crimes are intended to intimidate everyone in the targeted group. I voted that it's the slow falling, high opener who should go first. It's the exit order that creates the most horizontal separation, and that makes a freefall / canopy collision less likely. The other way around, you get less horizontal separation and no guarantee that the high puller will pull at the planned altitude. And I also agree with Peek. The 2 solos should be able to sort out the issue by agreeing to add a few more seconds of delay. Owned by Remi #?
