  1. What sticks out to me is that most of his "sins" are plural and a couple are singular. Is that because he ran out of room on the right side of the placard or is it a secret message? Owned by Remi #?
  2. My hornets both had color coded tabs at the attachment points, but not color coded lines. The colored tabs were nice for a novice packer Owned by Remi #?

  4. Sooooo... you've had a few since that last post, huh? Owned by Remi #?
  5. Maybe, but if you drive and skydive your overall risk is increased. So then if you skydive, your risk of dying from a bee sting stays constant and you add the risk from skydiving, right? So then walking down the street and then skydiving increases your risk. If you're trying to convince anyone that because other things also involve risk, then skydiving does not involve additional risk, your logic is flawed. Owned by Remi #?

    TiVo

Yes, it does... but IMO TiVo rocks where the average, generic DVR does not. TiVo has much better search and record features than the average DVR Owned by Remi #?
  8. Nah, it's "As soon as i figure out what grits is im gonna try em too. Don't let some cluless idiot convince you to try them as though they were a breakfast cereal. The proper way to have grits is with butter, salt, liberal pepper and topped with a couple of eggs over easy. Greasy breakfast meat of your choice on the side. Owned by Remi #?
  9. I caught a "Winnie The Pooh and Tigger Too Say Happy Birthday" helium balloon on a sunset high hop-n-pop once also. I almost dropped my beverage Owned by Remi #?

  11. So...since you didn't include an "I told her so" in your story we can assume she landed you on the DZ? My first skydive was a tandem. I've done three more recurrency jumps since then and I've enjoyed them to a degree because I find it fun to be with someone else under canopy. One of the best memories I have is chasing a maple leaf around in the wind from about 5000 to 3000 feet on my first ride as an experienced jumper. It was good to share that with someone. I don't like not being in control during landing. Just like being a passenger in a car with the imaginary brake pedal... I think I've flared with my imaginary toggles on all three recurrency jumps Owned by Remi #?

  18. Faster reserve deployment isn't the only benefit of a Skyhook. It also helps with a cleaner reserve deployment under a spinning mal. Owned by Remi #?

  20. We use a "home-made" one. The mals were packed into an intentional cutaway rig. Owned by Remi #?
  21. I dunno.. I had to prove I could parallel park to get my driver's license and I fail to see how that skill makes me a better driver if I decide never to parallel park. After all, I can always chose to walk instead of parking close, right? Parallel parking scares me. Owned by Remi #?

    skyhook

Okay. I'm trying very hard to understand your concern but your answers are very short and lack a lot of detail. Are you saying that you're concerned that you might cutaway your main before your reserve pilot chute is fully extended and the skyhook disengages? Owned by Remi #?

Your reason applies to any rsl. what is is about the skyhook in particular? Owned by Remi #?

And isn't it true that in a canopy transfer you open your reserve before you pull your cutaway handle? That negates the skyhook. It disconnects when your reserve pilot chute comes off. You seem convinced that the skyhook adds danger, but you're not offering any technical reasons why it would. Owned by Remi #?
