Oh dear.... That post is a bit scary! Don't know what the train of thought (if any) was even associated with it! I really am a quiet person! I promise! The day hasn't start out well... Was up at 4:45ish. I'm not hungover or anything, but I managed to kill my works laptop that I brought with me Something about registry error and a dump of physical memory The rest of the day has to get better! Jen PS. Its already started to get better, its a danm good thing that Cinnabon isn't around my home - dangerous stuff I tell ya, dangerous! Arianna Frances

Anyone know anything about cats? (No Turtle; not kittens!)
mailin replied to yoink's topic in The Bonfire
Its a very pretty kitty! Its obviously socialized, so it may belong to someone. If after posting signs, talking to neighbors, and notifying the pound that you found a cat if anyone is looking to contact you - then its yours I if you want it. It looks like a female, or a neutered male. Un neutered males over 1 year get these 'jowels' on their faces, and this cat is missing that. The obvious thing would be to check between the legs If you do decide to keep it the first thing is to put up the $45 and get it tested for kitty AIDS and leukemia. Even if you take a cat in with leukemia, after it passes away you can't have cats in the house for a year - so its good to know what you are getting into. Then after that is to get it fixed (if a female or a young male), uptodate shots, flea/tick bath and some GOOD food. Go to a pet specialty store - stay away from the friskies stuff, lots of chemicals. Enjoy the furball! Jen Arianna Frances -
Ya, well... there's a dimes worth of different between the republicans and democrats anyway Jen Arianna Frances

Coworker just heard that beheading video is possibly fake?
mailin replied to funks's topic in Speakers Corner
I'll leave it at this: You believe what you want, and I'll believe what I want. Come to your own understanding/conclusions. There are many answers for every questions - which one to believe is up to you. Examining all possibilities only heightens ones understanding - and that is what I am doing. Best of luck in your search (or non-search) for the truth, Jen Arianna Frances -
haha - everyone wins? Ya, thats the answer, more gov't in our lives Jennifer Arianna Frances

Ron, I think you may not be reading through some of these posts completely. No one is arguing that his death happened; it’s the manner in which it happened, the details in that tape that are being questioned. Jennifer Arianna Frances -

Coworker just heard that beheading video is possibly fake?
mailin replied to funks's topic in Speakers Corner
Yes, that would be your very easy answer. But it is not the only possibility. I find, and I'm not alone, that there is reasonable doubt as to aspects of the authenticity of that video. Can I prove it? No. Can you prove it? No. I know I'm not alone in questioning it - obvioiusly. Jen Arianna Frances -
Growing up, I'd like to think that my parents were pretty oblivious to some stuff. Hell, I know there were numerous 'events' that they never knew of - and I planned it that way. If you are doing something and you don't want someone to find out - you can hide it, and I belive these kids did. I don't think they need to apologize - they lost someone too; granted someone they should have had a better grasp on, but they lost someone too. How can all parents be responsible for all their childrens actions? By the time they are a teenager, I would like to think that there would be more personal responsability. Hell, I think of the stuff I did as a teenager, and it was the exact opposite of what my parents 'taught' me - and that was on purpose. Jen Arianna Frances

Yes, there are more than a few inconsistencies in the video... you aren't the only one to notice. Jen Arianna Frances -

I am a firm believer in being as educated as possible, and examining all sides of stuff before coming to conclusions. I read stuff from all extremes - with one site being about as extreme as possible, conspiracy theory central... but it usually gives good reason to re-analyze stuff. They have quite a few things about the Berg case on the lower part of the index page here: http://www.infowars.com/index.html Make your own conclusions... Arianna Frances -
That happened to me too.... So ya know what I did? I kept bugging the computer tech with stupid admin stuff like adding printers etc. Eventually they got so fed up they gave me admin rights and said "there, no you can install your own printers instead of bugging us"... hehe... yep, printers...sssuuuuurrrrreee Good luck Mary! My husband nearly took a computer network/DBA job in Elat, Israel (time split 50/50 between Elat and Jerusalem) in 2000. They would have paid $80,000 with ALL expenses paid and 3 return trips to the US for a one year committment. For anyone that doesn't know, Elat is on the Red sea and is supposed to be much like a resort town. It sounded like the ultimate job! Until we found out that the job in Jerusalem would be in the Palestine occupied area - with no real protection supplied by the company. Sorry... no amount of money would have made me comfortable with that. The positions were pulled just 2 months after my husband first interviewed for them. Guess we weren't the only ones with similar concerns. Jennifer Arianna Frances

My nick is (supposed to say) Mai Lin, as that was my childhood cats name, but I can't have spaces so its mailin. My avatar pic is Jen Garner from the TV show Alias, which is my favorite show - she kicks ass!! Jen Arianna Frances

Yep - I'm doing the same thing this year. I'm quitting my job in September to go back to school... but I'm almost done, so its not the same I guess... When your frustrated and feel there is no place to move in your job, going back to school can be the best thing. Jen Arianna Frances

Talk to Darius11 - he posts on this site often. I seriously hope you realize your gross overgeneralization only shows your narrow mindedness and gives no credit to your 'rants'. Arianna Frances

ok.... what are you trying to stir up with this? I myself have purchased these stamps. Once again... Muslim is a religion, and does not condone terrorist actions - how many times does it need to be said? Jennifer Arianna Frances

Not true. My father (works in construction) takes a shower at least twice a day, changes his socks a few times a day and adds foot powders and sprays to his shoes often, yet has very bad foot odor no matter how much he 'cleans himself'. Its not always lazy, it could just be that peoples feet sweat more than others - don't spread the prejudice. Jennifer Arianna Frances

I'm in the same situation - had it for 2 years now and I love it. Covers New England fairly well... and we travel alot (internationally and all over the US) and have never had any problem at all. We have the family plan and its been great. Best rates in this area too. Jen Arianna Frances

Heard the same thing. They used to sell a product at GNC that was a cranberry/raspberry based tea drink (can't remember the name of it) - tasted like crap but its worked. Good luck, Jen Arianna Frances

Boston/Providence Skydive center in the news again
mailin replied to mailin's topic in Safety and Training
I don't know if its local pressure but they were closed to 'fun' jumpers all of last year. They are a good operation - its sad to see them portrayed in this light - but I don't think they did themselves any justice by locking their doors either. Jennifer Arianna Frances
