  1. ... don't go food shopping. I'm finally coming down from my 'pissed off' mode, and decide to have something to eat (some how 'dinner' turned into half a sleeve of fig newtons and an ice cream sandwhich), and really get a good look at the stuff I bought at the store. My fridge and cupboards are full of the forbidden foods: fig newtons, ben & jerry's, poptarts, mac n' cheese... I seriously don't remember the last time I had them in my house.... and now, I'm eating them So, a word of warning - don't go shopping when you're pissed off at someone Jen Arianna Frances

Good Luck! Lemme know which you get, and how you like it. I'll be looking to get one at the end of August. Jen Arianna Frances
  5. lol - I'm doing the same thing! I'm buying a laptop for the school semester and have been doing a TON of research. The one I decided on was: Dell Inspiron 8600 Lots of cool features, and a DVD+R The Compaq Preseario X1000 is really good too though... decisions, decisions, decisions.... Edit to add: For what your listing in the toshiba, the price seems a bit high, unless your getting like a 3 year warranty. Jen Arianna Frances
  6. lol There was a town in CA that almost banned DiHydrogen Monoxide because of that website - they didn't read too carefully obviously. I just laugh at how much people really feel they have control over Jen Arianna Frances

  20. I won back stage passes to see them in '98. They were HUGE in Boston then. I didn't get to see much of them, but they tour staff rocked! My friend and I, along with the other 'back-staggers' had a blast and left with a ton of cool free stuff! Jen Arianna Frances

  22. And you would know this because you speak for EVERYONE? I've never thought of killing myself.... sorry you have. Lets hope you never deal with someone who's been institutionalized. My mom spent 6 years bouncing in an out of institutions. One year in particular, when I was 13, she called me a 'worthless bitch, and that she was sorry she had me' - all the while crying uncontrollably. I was mad, for an instant, and then felt incredibly sad for her. She was looking to push her family away. She doesn't remember saying that to me or the electro-shock treatments that happened shortly thereafter - but at that point, dying sounded great to her. I am glad she didn't do it - but I can see how it would have been a welcomed end. I'm glad YOU see it that way, but not everyone does.... but then again, you speak for everyone right? Jen Arianna Frances
  23. Ya, it does My mom is a recovering alcoholic. She's sober 9 years this year. It was very hard on my family when I was growing up - can't even count the number of times my folks said they were going to get divorced Al-Anon really helps. I attended a 'teen' version of it, and it helps you understand your role in their abuse. You may not think you have a role, but you do (by 'role' I mean how you react to it, not that you cause it). Through perseverance, love and understanding, my parents are happily married and love each other even more now. Good luck... it sux. Jen Arianna Frances
