  1. Don't fall into that trap. Make it work if you really want it to work. There's a skydiving mentality that it can't work. I'm married and my husband doesn't skydive, but I've had 3 different skydivers tell me I'm going to get a divorce because he won't 'understand my new hobby or the new me'. Thats a crap excuse IMO. If you want something to work, you make it work. Jen Arianna Frances

  9. If you have a vet you feel comfortable with perhaps one of the vet techs would be willing to help out? I had a co-worker do just that. Those vet techs are very trained and have lots of animal experience, and they're paid beans so would be willing to take on the 'side work'. Good luck! Molly's gonna miss you! Jen Arianna Frances

  11. I hope so! I'm looking forward to it. You guys are making it sound like there are these networks are everywhere - I"ll be interested to learn about it first hand. And just to top and off and make you all jealous, I think I'll go to this next week: http://www.macworldexpo.com/live/20/events/20BOS04A/ Might find a good deal.... Jen Arianna Frances
  12. Since you seem to know... I'll ask you! I'm getting my very own laptop (rather than my works ) next week - and plan on getting an extension on my T-Mobile service for internet service when travelling. I guess I have to buy some kind of card from t-mobile - then just use dial-up or something to get access? I really should know how this works, but I've never done the 'wireless' thing before. Zeemax - liike the ibook so far? I'm debating the PC/mac choice atm. Jen Arianna Frances

  16. I agree! Which is why this guy is the fifth doctor I've seen for it... I'm just tired of waiting - I want to be able to go on walks that involve more than 1/4 mile. I've spent most of last night doing research on it, and it sounds very promising. As a matter of fact, I haven't heard anything negative about surgery for chronic CS. As a matter of fact, the more research I do, the more I think this goes back to some of the stupid stuff I used to do skiing. Chronic CS can be caused by microtrauma too - which would be the hundreds of falls down black diamonds in HS Its amazing I didn't break my legs. I want to get it done soon though... really soon.... Thanks for the insight too Peter! Glad to hear it worked well for you!
  17. Uh oh - are the scars really that bad? I try not to be too superficial - but all my other scars I can pretty easily cover up... Oh well if it does Iguess. I'm really looking forward to being able to walk long distances again - and to run! wow, that'll be a rare treat! Jen Arianna Frances
  18. Well... mine is chronic compartment syndrome (hence the seven years of putting up with this *stupid Jen*). And I've done a relatively good job of staying away from the things that bother it - I don't go on walks and gave up running. He's 99% sure thats what I have (even brought in a resident to say "hey, look at this, you'll never see this again"), but still wants me to have one more test on the 22nd to rule out that 1%. Doesn't bother me any - I've dealt with it for seven years, I can wait a few weeks I'm SO HAPPY!!!
  19. ok.... done pouting. I'M SO HAPPY!!!
  20. Had it? Know what it is? Well... then you know more than me Doing research now Just found out I have it... both legs.... surgery in about a month.... this sux ass Jen Arianna Frances

    Going to school

I can't speak for everyone.... but I felt more confused after ground school. I had lots of questions and had to make sure I asked them before I did my first jump. I got them answered for the most part - the rest I guess just comes with experience (so I've been told ) Be sure to ask lots of questions if you have them! Have fun and Good luck too!
