I was taught that having a large difference between main and reserve canopy sizes is not recommended.......and is less likely to form a 'stable' flyable 2 out configuration, in comparison to similar sized mains/reserves...... Just a thought based on the clsoing line in your last post ( and the size of your main)

I reckon in the volumes of history its never gonna be considered a 'true' wingsuit landing until someone does it 'sans parachute container' Even so....props to all involved for trying, and although I really really want it to happen without someone gettin' hurt.........well... I just hope no idiot is 'racing' to do this to be the first whilst putting safety on the backburner Sure Jeb is gunning for it.......but I'll bet theres a few personalities in the East....er...hmmm.....Mr Pecnik who surely must be on the same wavelength. I hear a few reports of peeps who ahve already done it.....albeit assisted by ski slopes or water landings.... Its 2004 ...video talks, bullshit....er......you know the rest Good luck Jeb and all involved.....

So is there a relationship between Cell No's and 'reliability of on heading opening' But also a relationship of increasing cell no. and decreasing efficiency of flare? Can somebody explain this?

SET UP A PAYPAL ACCOUNT AND PAY THIS GUY SOME SMALL CHANGE !!!!! Skydivingmovies.com has become an institution amoungst skydivers, potential skydivers and videographers who dont have their own sites..... Many a great video has been posted......that would not have been seen worldwide otherwise.......can you remember the last great one you saw..??? Hows about Luigi landing the 39sqft canopy? Or the test flights on the 21sqft canopy that so tragically took the life on one of our brothers? What about Dead Air Dummies, Silly Exits and the informative malfunction movies... Maybe the feel good stuff .....that just feels good??....search for Mike Zban....you'll see. Its a fantastic site that helps so many of us out.....and is run practically on charity.....give Pilot Dave a break and give him some cash /servers so this great non commercial site can keep running....

Dont forget.....take the grip 'high' trying to present/take a grip too low can mess up your stability.... Go with the flow and take the grip 'higher' that made the difference for me

Just a point..... In a weekend of jumps....I make a point of on at least 1 jump, when flipping over to pull....spend a sec and just touch all those handles in the order you would pull em' (in freefall).... It just keeps your 'stability' current when reaching for 'unusual stuff' But I have the fastest deployed reserve in the world....why should I care BTW my dytter/protrack tones have gone off at some funny times on a jump and under a deploying canopy.....they are a guide only.....I reckon your first thought on hearing them is to look straight down or at that alti!!

Ditto.......anybody who takes advice here at pure face value and does not discuss those potential equipment changes with a 'body' face to face that they know is qualified......shouldnt be skydiving. Limit 'opinions' and 'advice' on these forums to the limited , qualified few who are without question qualified to answer any 'cyber' question on skydiving that may come through........and these forums will suddenly become a very lonely place.

That looks like Dainese Body armour......its very comfortable and doesnt limit body movement hardly at all....( at least the setup I wore MTB'ing) http://www.dainese.at/eng/collezioni.asp

If you have a USB port on your camera and on the computer....then Windows XP should let you transfer....plug it all in....turn on your camera and use your 'usual' video editing program to transfer I think MM2 allows a USB transfer( correct me if I am wrong) That said the quality will be poor...even USB 2 working perfectly wont come anywhere close to the quality and speed of a firewire transfer... Expect problems/dropped frames/poor quality and a long time ! using USB. If you have a system where you can upgrade to a Firewaire card....you should. Alternatively.....take it to a shop and get it transferred onto a Data DVD/VCD.......then you save yrself the hastle......but thats a crap long term solution

Try and think about keeping your blades ON the ice as much as possible......common new skater problem...they are 'stepping' all the time.... Push out to the sides , with the blade smoothly and you will look alot better ! Big tip...slip a couple of knee pads and elbow pads under your clothes......even if you fall over you can just get up like a real man...no pain! Biggest tip.....skate close to the edge...at least you can grab the rink edge before you fall over and look a complete tit ! Have fun....

Like anything.........the lower the better for the consumer...its as simple as that. Recent time in the Perris Tunnel....I was surprised at what my money got me(pleasantly) ....but still consider it a tad ....just a tad...expensive for the 'experience'...compared to a skydive ( think of everything here not just the freefall) As a training tool , I am convinced it has proven results....nuff said

In that case I stand corrected.......apart from the banner thats the first 'new' news I have heard from the Bedford tunnel project for a while. Bon chance....I wish nothing but success for both projects. Bedfords closer to me.....'fire it up and you have my business.....any links to the latest news ....apart from the banner here?
