  1. Or.....you could just design a bug and upload to the site, so that before submissions.....people could just download it ...and pop it onto the video they want to upload........dunno bout most of you but I have to compress my videos from their original higher quality versions before uploading.........perfect time to add a bug (logo)
  2. Yip I think you are right....I have jumped 'the' setup before (someone elses) but not this unit....... Im just a bit paranoid..... I'll follow the advice of just addinga cheeky bit more padding ( I think the 109 is a lil bit smaller than the cams your mention) Yes it is blue carbon fibre.......isss cooool Thanks both for your input
  3. Clicky http://www.aspp82.dsl.pipex.com/coachsit.wmv Nice video.....
  4. Jesus.......dont nick her chips !! She'll have 'ya for sure....... I tried that running up a wall to backflip it shit..... but I ran out of breath about two steps from the wall and decided to just lean on it until I felt better Parkour Rocks....
  5. The "depending on your AAD .....but you are going under the 78mph" worries me, because in the scenario you are describing....I guess its possible ( and even if it was unlikely I wouldnt be wanting to bet my life on it as you would be) .....how can /would you recognise that whilst trying to get away from your entangled main......I'd say purely from the time its going to take....not personal experience !! that by the time you realise your AAD has not and is not going to fire.....your already way to late, even if you did proceed to pull your reserve. Another observation that has not already been said which is probably relevant to at least one of the double mals I think you are referring to ( and I am sure to many others)........dont do stoopid things under a perfectly good main at lowish altitudes
  6. Hers one I was sent recently(thanks Tom) ......its an oldie but worth a chuckle
  7. Faber.....I hear you. But it was Rene's ( or at least his very good friends) idea to post the video......as education...as a warning. It certainly gave myself and I am sure many many others a big 'smack in the face' dose of reality, compared to the glitzy , glam videos we see on the SDM site ( I'm guilty too !!) Thats not a bad thing ...right? The question over potential prosecution is certainly an interesting one........one hopefully that our legal eagles on the '.com' can answer...... MRM21K..???
  8. Hi all....please find some photos of my new setup....FF2 Cam helmet and PC109. Im looking to 'secure' the camera to the helmet ( additional to the screw in on the camera mount) to help prevent any vibration. I'm thinking of drawing a bungee cord with hook around the inside of the helmet and (via some drilled holes) out around the camera....just to hold it all tight. Does any body have a similar setup /or any advice on my suggestion before I start drilling holes in my carbon fibre helmet Thanks
  9. Dont fuck up...... Keep your eyes open and help others from doing the same... Less Insurance claims= cheaper Insurance premiums (yes it will take a few years to prove the model) Cheaper Insurance=Cheaper BPA membership ( and they will be absolutley slaughtered if they try and get pass that one) How do you get less insurance claims ???? go look at the Incident reports and find out your number one cause of 'problems'.......then congratulate / harass the council to get the Canopy Grading system up and running like yesterday. From what I heard , lots of people are not ahppy about the specific structure.....and this is where (I feel) the BPA have a responsibility to put all available resources and efforts into getting a working system up and running very soon. 'We' are paying now for the lack of canopy training and aggresive trend of downsizing that has hardly any BPA official 'rules'.......fix that...hopefully we fix the biggest problem to our BPA costs

    Atmonauti & BASE

Any data on the effectiveness of an 'atmonauti' vs a flat track at sub terminal speeds (approaching terminal)? I'm wondering about the efficiency ( alt. lost vs distance covered) of an atmo jump at just below terminal speed vs that of the flat track...

    BPA AGM 2005

I thought a few jumps on Sunday would 'get my head straight again'.... I was wrong.....
  12. Yeah well its gonna be windy and you wont get any jumps in............ (Zoter says sheepishly as he packs his car for the AGM ......and hides his rig under his dinner suit 'just in case' Sunday looks fine)
  13. 5mph??? Really...... la la la la la la la la ala lla lala
  14. Just my two cents..... You are a 'B' licence...and only 2 months 'uncurrent' I'm sure most UK DZ's would not even bat an eyelid....so just be honest If it worries you....maybe just tell one of the Staff you are getting your knees in the breeze after a 2/12 layoff and do a solo with a highish pull( if they were going to do anything....I'm sure thats all they would say as well!!) Dont forget to go over your EP's and make abso sure your kit is cool
  15. In the UK each jump is assigned a 'jumpmaster'.Usually the most experienced person on the load Although everyone on the load should be aware themselves of the run in, upper and lower winds ( and therefore exit separation) the JM is there to put it all together in terms of exit order, pilot comms etc. I'm very happy at figuring out my own spot, separation (based on winds and whats going on before me) but I still make it a point of always asking the JM what separation they recommend.......if it dont look right at the door I'll wait till it does. I can take care of myself and dont take any shit I am not due....if someone yells aggresively at the door to GO !... and does not have a bloody good reason for it.....they had better land off, and stay off. We all take our turn at the front of the plane......so your last out and the spot might be a little deeper than your optimum spot ??....suck it up and shut it up!!....you'll get your turn at the 'optimum spot' .....This kind of rudeness is totally avoidable and is very off putting to those just doing what the were instructed to do. When its the friendly banter we all do ....thats completel different...

    4-Way VRW

Hows about a combination of disciplines 4Way 'Hybrid RW' Two on belly and two backfling at all times.... Turning points .....
  17. hmmm....speculation. He's the only person who could answer that one. According to the info...he is an experienced instructor and that combined with the other 'cool' thinking he demonstrates....makes it a little hard to believe that he would be tugging on his three ring release as a reserve ripcord..... Either way I think he handled it all like a champ....
  18. I thought something looked a bit odd as well..... I t looked like when he went for his reserve he is using his left hand to pull out the left main webbing.....to get to his handle. Reserve handle caught underneath webbing perhaps??? Despite that I like how he just transfers his reserve ripcord to his right hand whilst waiting ( a while !!) for the reserve to do 'something'....

    BPA AGM 2005

    me coming too.....
  20. how easy would it be to have 'freed' the line(s) trapped on the No.2 flap.......I guess if they were under tension it would have been possible to grab the line, reduce the tension and potentially unsnag the line.... I AM NOT suggesting at all that this would have been the right thing to do with a performance canopy and at 'low' altitude.....just wondering if its possible ...
  21. He fought it to the ground though....never stopped for a sec ...and kept hold of his handles.....Kudos
  22. That looked horrible......he was going in quite fast, hows the jumper ??
