Doesnt the Pilot have to call in to the field/station tower before landing?? Is there any contact between the pilot and someone ON the airfield prior to landing....? I'm assuming that if they were landing there .....the field must have been occupied by miltary personnel...and as such had a duty CO there somewhere?

Perhaps even a 'level' before backflying.... A couple of 'belly flyers' (for want of a better word) who have asked me about sitflying have been referred to instructors but also given my personal opinion of: Solos.....go out and get used to spinning upside down...and knowing where you are ( in relation to jump run) Lots of flips and loads of barrel rolls.....just get used to wind in different places and being comfortable with that.....as well as being able to quickly guage your heading when you get stable... Basically.....mess around in the airflow

Theres a bunch of NHL names making up for lost time over here in Europe as well.... Refreshing to see some overpaid sportsmen going back to roots and playing...for the sake of playing......not just for big bucks. I'm getting back into some hockey over here next week......been out for about 9 months (thanks to the wonderful aerobic sport of skydiving ).......first few sessions gonna be pukeville.....no doubt

Yeah?? But then again I bet you never heard about a surfer caught at sea with the biggest approaching Tsunami in living memory..wondering what the hell to do. Its not like he planned it......he faced it because he had too.....no choice...and thats where alot of weird and strange success ( and failure) stories come from...Take a walk through the incidents forum on cutaway stories for a 'relevant' example of the phenomenon Ok I bet he didnt 'ride' it ......but if he made it out alive after being on a board on the sea at the time....he did something right. I guess a guy floating on a tree trunk out at sea for over 100 hundred miles for 8 days living on cocunuts opened by door handles is BS as well...... no video, didnt happen ...right? Extraordinary situations realise extraordinary stories I say .....well done mate...you lived. Whether he was from Porthcawl or Cali....whatever, he did something right.

yeah.....thats better .. Nice video as well.....I remember seeing it a while back before I started freeflying and thinking...I'd love to do that !! Nice to see it again from a different viewpoint now....of (some) of it I can do !

Thanks.....I saw that link but its not a movie......it opens a reply to your post. Would you mind rechecking that link? I hear ya on the photos......but I am one of those who can learn alot by watching dynamic images, rather than just a still. Thanks

Anybody have any video of this sit exit 'feet into the relative wind' exit style.......A previous teacher explained this to me and it does make sense......howver just exiting 'feet down, arms out.....ride the slide' seems to work fine for me.....that said...I would like to see how it is done

I run a PC setup and cut DVD+R's........or DVD-R's.....just be careful what DVD you use, I'm not saying that 'cheapo' DVD's are worse than better quality ( i reckon thats all about longevity...anyways) But....some quality between lower end cheaper DVD's varies wildly...... As for your audio.....what DVD authoring software are you using? and how are you you encoding the audio tracks on the DVD's? ie what format is the audio going on the DVD as. 'Most DVD packages will let you decide the quality of audio encoded....if you want to. If the problem is intermittant....perhaps its the quality of the source audio you are putting on to the DVD....remember 'garbage in =garbage out'

I have a Royal Lens 0.3.....very low profile....absolutely no vignette.....and despite being 'flush' with the Cam box on my helemet....absolutely no helmet bits in the video frame..... What else do you need ...??

If its really sore during the day.......just get some burly co-worker to punch you hard a little higher than you are feelin' ya pain.......that'll sort you out. Im the proud owner of my first camera helmet (2kcomposites FF2) I have a question on chin cup tightness..... How tight is tight enough ?? The cutaway system on this helmet means I will have to decide how tight and then be pretty much stuck with that......before I get a chance to jump it so how tight should it be...any recommendations? 1) Loose enough for you to chat and talk normally 2) Tight enough that if you wanted a beer people would see your lips move and hear 'gottle of geer 3) Chin cup edges touching the helmet !!
