"I have two "instructional" flights in a PP" Yeah those instructional flights, Love them.. I will mention the one legal jump I had from a PPC. it was a the Powrachute annual flyin held in Columbus kansas (former home of Powrachute PPC's). the FED's where thier and approved a jump from the PPC. the PPC had a tail number and comeerical pilot Reggie Claudil took me to 4,000 in 30 min's time! All the jumps I have ever had from PPC's where awesome because of all the diffrent exits you can do with them.. hanging under it was great, climbing into the risers and flipping out over the front of the cart was awesome.. my favorite was to just stand out in front of the pilot and fall off backwards! " When i worked in the industry of PPC's I heard of one rual fireman that actually would use his single seater for fir fighting.. he would back it to the front door of homes, barns or what ever structure and vent the home... that sounded pretty far out there and I wonder if thier is any truth to the story.. but knowing firemen I bet that he had at least tried it once! They as in the mule farmer next door feel they have a vaild concern and they have an awesome right to express how they feel. Although it will not help them at this time as the new dz is coming to the area, perhaps a better way to address any concern they had would be to seek an agreement with the new DZO's and see how they can help each other live within the confines of a small area. I have no idea where the map came from. and as far as "they". who is they (your friends?) I am not sure who you refer to as they, so i can't help you there. Where would I put the opening point on any dz map, thats baed on the winds aloft for that day. Very simple to think about if you where a jumper.. but perhaps since you so avoid any question then I will just think you are a jumper and trolling to get reactions that will serve you no usefullness. wow.. I have seen many tandem pics int he past where lurkers are very active within the skydive. I have seen one where a guy was standing on top of the tandem couple holding the drouge bridle. And in no time during all of my tandems did I ever consider allowing any of these type of things to happen. As a TI you owe it to yourself and the passenger to keep things safe and minimmize the risk to all. Gravitysexy.... are you serious? After one year in the sport you know whats best for the sport of skydiving and you think that negative media is good? As far as paying our taxes.. WE have to, it's the law and like it or not our country gives money to worthless causes that are tax based. We can bitch about that if we so choose. This was NOT her first experience, she has made like ten jumps.. this was her first AFF jump as she has made IAD and Tandem jumps before this one. I don't see anywhere thats she is saying she has to muster up any courage, she is ready to jump all she wants is free gear to do so. she does not want to work to get her own gear she wants the vendors to supply it for her because this was so tragic and she has more talk show plans! Because I jump in the area where this acident happend people ask about that one girl whos chute did not open! I thought for sure that this accident had passed and just this Friday I was asked on a white water kayak fourm if I knew that girl who's chute did noy open and she busted her face! This is also very true! to add a bit to this there is a video production of home movies her boyfriend is also very proud of. . If they -did- plan to get pregnant without coverage (unless they planned on paying for it with cash) it makes my blood boil. This, and the raping of the disability system by someone who -can- work (he was an instructor who was still jumping, right?), is why this country's disability system is a wreck. When the government gets his 1099 they can investigate...and if found that he was faking his disability he is eligible for jail...plus mandatory payment back to the state for all his disability benefits. . ltdiver Shayna has stated they planned on having a baby. this is a fact... although she seems to be full of misinformation at times. What ever will get them the next meal seems to be the next correct answer. I think that the state of missouri has intrest in Ricks "work" history, or at least thats word on the street. She and her boyfriend need money, and they are begging to get it.. They seem to avoid working like the rest of us! She and Rick "planned" on having this child yet they did not have jobs to support this child.. They did go to a diffrent Dz to make this jump because the home DZ would not allow it and she had used gear that was out of her skill range. It' is sad that her teeth are gone, but she has had them replaced for free by a dentist that only wants her to spout his name during TV shows.. now she wants to get gear so she can get back ont he shows I guess. Last I knew and this was per Shayna, she would not get a job because it would take away her state benifits and Rick was still not working.. He is supposedly on dissability but I wonder how that works when the DZ's you have been working at are going to report your taxes this year.. could be more and more intresting for them yet! It's to bad that alot of energy is spent into negative things instead of encouragement of a new dz.. I am happy to see a new dz come to town, I am not bashing any of the current DZ's I am just looking at hey this is a turbine and I am a customer. I work hard for me money and want to spend in on altitude. I hope that all the area DZ's can survive, it would be a shame to see anyone loose a business.. but thats business I guess.
