Packer barry I have to take the majority in this, and No I will not do those things. I have been a packer and I did all of those things for my cutomers, thats why they paid me and they gave me tip's at the end of the day when I took extra care of the gear and pack jobs. I supplied my own rubber bands and that was part of the business! As far as putting the life in your hands! It's a main Barry! my life is in the riggers hands and I am my own rigger now so i know my base is covered. Know when to accept work and who to accept it from, if messy mike is dropping his gear off with you then you can explain to him the mess or ask him to go to packer pete. Sorry bro, you need to stow the brakes, pilot chute and slider.. I did and my current packer does this for me. www.greenboxphotography.com

Idea for PIA continuing rigger education program
jdthomas replied to KevinMcGuire's topic in Gear and Rigging
Kevin Why don't you start your own program at your loft? and have mini schools? I would be greatly intrested in coming in and learning from you. I would be willing to travel for more advanced training, i really want harness info that i could take and apply to climbing gear. Joe www.greenboxphotography.com -
I like this part better then the original post! Ivan, you okay? www.greenboxphotography.com

I agree with aggiedave about the personal touch to the video, I try to wear dark lens' as much as possible. good tip to new TI's.. www.greenboxphotography.com

No full face bro, I don't even wear a helmet at all.. it is an option for my passenger (frap hat only) though and once they see the frap hat they will usally opt for none! I talk to my passengers in freefall, so the full face would not allow yelling arch in the ear of passenger. Next is the ol head bump thing.. ouch! Least impotant but still a factor is that it's camera shy, you don't get good pics with a full face. and I know the tm should not have a concern for his face shot. but hey it looks like you might be thinking of your saftey with a full face and not for the student if they don't have one as well.. and besides that, a helmet is just one more thing for me to worry about when tandems can be stressfull enough. www.greenboxphotography.com

Idea for PIA continuing rigger education program
jdthomas replied to KevinMcGuire's topic in Gear and Rigging
Thats great and I am in... I want to learn more of the sewing aspect in rigging and not just the inspect/repack of rigs. So is there going to be a school set up in Eloy where you will teach this? come on we all want more training and you are the man. www.greenboxphotography.com -
Cool.. no longer just a name but a number as well. It feels like your first drivers license doesn't it? www.greenboxphotography.com

Do you believe in fate, chance, consequence . . .
jdthomas replied to kelel01's topic in The Bonfire
I really like what skysprite has to say on this, and I tend to agree with that and think along the same line. I am not sure about how all this life stuff works, is supposed to work. I just try to do what i feel is right or right at that time. I allways pull over and help stranded motorist, even though it is not always to be safe it's just that it has been me and I know the pain. and who knows maybe I am building my positibe Karma if there is such a thing. I don't really go to church, but I am all for it, you can't loose anything having religon.. it's like insurance for the sole.. Free will and trying to think about free will issues daunts me so i tend to stay away from think about it. Just go have a coffee and talk about something else is what I do! man that was pointless, sorry! Joe www.greenboxphotography.com -
"NOTHING in this world frightens me more than the thought of being cheated on " I have been asked by wuffos, "does jumping from planes scare you?" My reply is the only thing that scares me is a possible broken heart from a girl I love.. and well it has happend, but you just move on. www.greenboxphotography.com

My first thought would be to approach the guy and just tell him that you do not like to be addressed like that, and that should resolve any problems. take a whitness with you. CYA! If that does not work or help the revenge of choice is to set up a hotmail edress under his name and then send out a bulk mail to everyone that you know in your office from "his" edress and tell them that "you" (punkass co worker) is coming out of the closet.. hey this is (punkass) and I have been in struggle with my sexual indentiy for some time and have decided to come out of the closet with that fact that I am gay. Man thats a great way to get even or at least smile for awhile. www.greenboxphotography.com

Tony Hey man it did not take me long to put the name of the paper with the story told and I read the article. Well bro thats a bummer, and I feel sorry that all your spots are burned.. but man you trusted a guy who makes his living on exciting storys you just where to open with him. Thats not a bad thing as you are a good person and want to trust people, but man thats the press and thats his job. My spots are not burned down here, you are welsome to come play. I keep them cool by not taking lurkers, not even my close friends go and I certinally would not post pics and storys on a web site... I wondered how long before that would get seen by the man.. well I guess the gigs up. bummer www.greenboxphotography.com

I used to freak about how much jumps where costing, and that math lift ticket price x jumps is daunting. Now most of mine are paid for and thats great! but paying taxes on money maid at the DZ is not that fun. www.greenboxphotography.com -

I made just a few over 200 jumps in this last year. I don't have a break down right now of how many tandem,JM, or "fun jumps" they where yet. www.greenboxphotography.com -
My friend got so bored once that he drank bleech. it was a bad scene. But later it became a great "one time at a party" story.. Dead milkmen, that brings back some old skater days. www.greenboxphotography.com

congrats on the solo flight. thats cool stuff. www.greenboxphotography.com

not all Opening speeds are the same. little things like pilot chute in tow are not going to slow down your freefall speed much. Even thow that little slider has a hole in it, that still helps slow the opening a bit more then just mesh would. www.greenboxphotography.com

You can never go wrong with fancy wood picture frames. everyone has them and they match just about everything. Throw in a home depot gift card and you are the man. www.greenboxphotography.com

I have been whitness to many bandit jumps, well alot of bandit jumps I guess and I know there are guys out there that are going to get mad at a few of us bad apples.. but man they are so private most of the time. I own a powered parachute and get to jump from it from time to time, not often enough though! 99% of the jumps are done at our home field and its in such a remote area that it is of no concern, espically when a powered parachute is flying over head. Ultralights, gliders and PPC's are all subject to laws and have rules as any other flying craft, very similar to parachute rules. No flight zones, min alt's and the like. Just be carefull www.greenboxphotography.com
