How many jumps did it take you to get your A license?

Did my first pack jump on jump 20, came down, gave someone $20 to buy me beer, gave my USPA proficency card to an instructor to sign, repacked my rig, went up for jump 21, came down and my beer arrived for all to drink -
High: Getting out of work early to be forced to go to physical therapy, and being allowed to skydive... This weekend, i had to take a commercial flight to buffalo. It just wasn't right. I was so anxious to jump out of the plane once we hit about 4K. It just wasn't fair. For skydivers, there should be planes that allow you to jump out, instead of land with a commercial plane. It's just not fair... To make things worse, that was the closest that i got to jumping this weekend... I remember, who, where, and can narrow it down to the month. If i really thought about it, i bet i can get the exact date. It wasn't that great of an experience... Actually, it left me thinking "that's it?", pretty sad..... granted he thought it was great (obviously it wasn't his first time), so i guess i did SOMETHING right. I was at STL last thursday, where i ran into someone who was recently in florida (skyventure), and asked them about the one in Trenton. They said it's started, but there's no way that it'll be ready by January 15th. I'd really like this information to be completly wrong, but i'm guessing that it's pretty close to the truth, unfortunatly. I should clarifly that I did get off of jump run. I was 90 degrees, because i didn't want to put other people in danger. You're right though, you gotta be careful about where you are orientated in the sky. I try to be careful in the air. I thought i wrote that i did turn 90 degrees in my original post, guess i missed it. Thanks for your concern though, i'm always willing to learn from more experienced jumpers

So I did it. Granted I didn't mean to let it happen, since i am really trying to concentrate on my sit/stand right now, but I did 2 headdown jumps on thursday. I did a back dive out of the otter (i love that exit), and it placed me into a great headdown. Granted i am using the term "stable" very loosly, meaning, i held a headdown position for the entire jump. I am pretty sure i was backsliding (i was doing a solo). I went back up, and did another backdive out the door, into another headdown. Such an awesome feeling. Ironicly, i accidently took my 3 way RW into a head down from the exit the same day. oops... I'm going to try NOT to do headdown, because i really should have a better body position for a sit/stand first. It was still completely awesome though. Can't wait to do more

My first time i ever really LOOKED out under canopy. It was a great jump, and I pulled as I normally did, and I just looked out at the horizon. It was beautiful looking at the mountains, then turning towards the dz, and just wondering how so many people on the ground will never know the feeling of being thousands of feet above the ground floating back to the ground. HEY ALL!!! okay so I'm psyched about the holiday boogie, granted i'm going to be showing up on the 26th, but I can't wait for my first boogie. I do plan on doing at least one naked jump. It's my new thing... Every new DZ i go to, i gotta do a naked jump. Besides they're fun, and they kick ass!!!!! I can't wait to go. Maybe even jump with a few of you??? -
I got my nickname, Bubbles, in 1998. Hated it at the time, but it expanded into all aspects of my life, so i learned to live with it, and i find it amusing that there are a lot of people out there that think it's my real name.

3:0:0 i was going to try to jump sat/sun, but didn't. However, i did do my first "stable" headdown. Stable being defined as holding the headdown for the entire jump. I'm sure i was backsliding, but it was still cool. Did that twice, then screwed up a 3 way RW jump. I accidently took us into a headdown out the door, oops, guess headdown was on my mind this weekend Still great jumps, and even the RW went okay, once We reconfigured.

lol, gee thanks, like i said it's a gorgous day on the east coast and i have to wait for a phone call. i guess my company is thinking it MIGHT be carpol tunnel? I dunno. It's such a pain. and trust me, no one wants me to clean their apartment for me. I queen of finding other things to keep me amused all day, and NOT clean. Maybe i'll wash my skydiving gear. That'd be more benefital than cleaning my apartment. i hate not being able to do anything.
