    started WAY TOO EARLY!!!!!! Attempted my first sit, before i even had my A license (i got that at jump 20)... Although every once in a while I do throw in a RW jump here or there, RW is So important to know, and learn. Although, I do Love freeflying

    That's awesome, congrats, and happy birthday!!! You know it seems like when you can use the money (for jumps) parents will get you gifts, and when you would rather get a gift, your parents will give you money. Well, that happens for me anyway.

    they've started to work on it, but are i think 1 million short. They're almost at their goal, but it's not going to be ready by january unfortunatly. Who knows when.....     usually wear it til the first 1000 feet or so, the few times i was forced to land with the plane, i did wear my helmet upon landing.     unfortunatly i'm at work. This beautiful blue skied day. Trying to come up with a good reason to miss on friday. Figured i'd come up with a reason this week at work.     i completely agree with that, as i know how the otter can be. I definitly am by no means experienced (as i am in the 50-100 jump category), and I definitely don't mind if someone may feel safer checking my rig for my and their own safety. However, my problem is when people just go ahead and start touching my rig without telling me. Granted since i have so little jumps, and i jump at different places, i don't know everyone at every dropzone that i visit. If someone who i just met for the first time starts touching my rig, and I have no idea who this wacko is, i may get somewhat upset. It only takes a second to say "hey, do you mind if i just check your rig?"     i know in my recent runin with this same type of situation, i did ask someone, and they did check it, but there was still something on my mind that there could have been something wrong. You really wouldn't mind if someone just randomly came up to you, while doing something else, and start touching your rig? More power to you i guess, i have a problem with people doing that to me. It makes me feel real uncomfortable.     Gotta love FOX!!!! All the great shows are on fox i watched part of it, but turned it off. I'm guessing it's like the first millionaire, only on fox.

    I agree 100% with you. Recently someone did that to me. It made me feel so uncomfortable with my gear on that jump. If someone asks me, perhaps it would be different, but to just start playing around with my rig without a 2nd thought? What's that all about. I agree with visual checks, but one of the first things i learned when i was a student, was NOT to touch other people's gear. Maybe some other skydivers should learn that too.     You'll come to find that any DZ you go to, you will most likely feel welcomed, and you will feel "at home" with them. I'm sure they'd be glad to help you continue your progress, PLUS it'd be nice to get some nice warm weather jumps in too. Although, i'm psyched about landing in snow
