I definitely agree with that, even with my limited experience I've noticed it. Notice in the short video I linked to, at about 00:50, one second after he exits, the cameraman (Omar, I think) looks to his left, and Scott is RIGHT THERE. It's a great feeling to see the whole flock close together immediately after exit (only truly possible on smaller flocks, but still possible to optimize the larger exits). www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Hey Pete, As far as "the rest diving out 1 by 1"... I'm sure it is possible to literally dive headfirst, but in the large jumps I've been on (i.e. FULL OTTER flocks

Nope, I'm definitely not keen on conflict, sorry if I came off that way. I'm just not typical in that I've never understood brand loyalty. Not that I won't support a product I love (my BM suits rock!), but I won't exclude other possibilities because one is good. My last PC was AMD. My current one is Intel. I'm thinking about building another AMD soon. It's always based on what best meets my needs (economic and technical) at the moment. They've all worked great for me. I just don't want to see this turn into Ford vs Chevy. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Is this a joke? Who says we have to "align" with one? I have two BM suits and am getting my BMI this weekend. But I may just buy a PF suit one day (I'd have a V1 now if I was made of money) and I would like to get my PFI someday too. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Bring it, DUDE! I will be there first thing Friday morning until last thing Monday evening. :) But I may be busy for the first two days with my class with Scott. I am going to start making it out to Zhills more often the coming weekends after this boogie... hope to flock soon! www.WingsuitPhotos.com

I grew up in New Smyrna Beach (just south of Daytona) and surfed a lot, and honestly it always scared me. It is pretty statistically unlikely, but unlike skydiving, you don't have a lot of control over it. Two of my friends growing up got bit (nothing requiring major surgery to fix). One guy got struck by lightning AND bit (not at the same time), and when the media found out about this, he got his little 15 minutes of fame for having two strikes against him (plus the media loved his surfer talking style), had articles everywhere including CNN, and was interviewed on the Leno show even, I'm pretty sure. That said, shark attacks in Florida are common but usually harmless. Shark attacks in other parts of the world are more rare but more deadly. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

I have STILL never done a raft jump (or really any other sort of "object" jump)... I would love to get in on that if possible... www.WingsuitPhotos.com

That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. I tried to watch that video from work a few months ago, it didn't work, and I forgot about it. I just watched it now. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

What's that, like parachuting? www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Go see Batman Begins. May not be feasible with wings like that, but it still looked damn cool and a lot like a high-speed exit in a wingsuit. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

I don't think it would be "free" fall anymore. Powered fall? Or is that just what we call powered flight? www.WingsuitPhotos.com

anyone know who took this pic, or who this is?

And I personally think you did a great job on your legs, regardless of what anyone else says! www.WingsuitPhotos.com -
Muchas gracias, señorata! (yes, I spelled señorita wrong, it's an obscure Simpsons reference that only I will get ) www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Not that I know of. Anybody who knows anything knows not to point a video camera in Perry's direction, or you might see something you will regret. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Ok, now where's the S5? www.WingsuitPhotos.com

That is a damn cool picture, I've never seen a WS gainer exit... why don't they put it on baserigs.com like they did the balloon flyby? It's either that or wait for Dave's site to come back up.

what's it called when you "corkscrew" during a track?
The111 replied to Newbie's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
The 100+ ways you refer to are probably done because they look cool on camera. I agree that tracking is primarily a survival skill, but there's nothing wrong with wanting to do a cool acrobatic move if that's what you're interested in (obviously not WHILE tracking away from a big jump). We're skydiving, for FUN! If we only did things that were utilitarian, we'd still only be skydiving during airborne invasions (and we wouldn't do bigways because it would make us more visible to the enemy! ). But we turned it into a sport. www.WingsuitPhotos.com -
Of course we'd like!

Thanks Betsy. I've never gone anywhere on this site besides the forums but I see that more than one question I've asked was already answered on the page you linked to. Good to know for next time. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

In the big (130MB) video file I posted to skydivingmovies.com of the Z-flock, you can see most of Perry's climbouts/exits. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
