Is it time to gather our control sticks? - press clips
Erroll replied to lawrocket's topic in Speakers Corner
yeah, he went to the bar and pulled out a tiny piano and a 12 inch pianist... Would you repeat that please, I'm a little hard of hearing. He said pianist, John. P-I-A-N-I-S-T. -
If you arrived at that conclusion based on what I have said in this thread then I honestly fail to see any point in discussing anything with you.
-
Fair and balanced like the above statement?
-
Well, if these sources are the (American) links you provided, I am not surprised. I read at least two local newspapers every day. In addition to local news programs, I also watch at least one of Sky's or BBC's news casts every day. I see factual, unbiased reporting - pretty much as reflected by the views and opinions of the more reasonable folk on this forum.

You have evidence of this?

Should school kids be allowed to have cell phones in school?
Erroll replied to Andy9o8's topic in Speakers Corner
Yup. And before you know it kids with names like Wagonwheel and Chickenshit will be sending smoke signals to their parents asking permission to sleep over at Smelly Sue's. -
Should school kids be allowed to have cell phones in school?

How in the world did parents get kids to school before the advent of the motor car? How in the world did people ask questions to other people from across the oceans before the advent of the internet? How in the world did skydivers........ you get the picture. New technology is there to be used, and as has been said elsewhere in this thread, once one is the parent of four active teenagers the benefits of cell phones far outweigh the negatives. -
Indeed. Exactly - so what does it say about the parent?
-
I fail to see any connection between your thread title and the article you quoted from.

You don't think that is taking chivalry a bit too far?

What is that one thing I should do? Hmmmmm.... You could scoop a fresh oyster from its shell, put it on Shotgun's belly, and slurp it up with your mouth....
-
When you phrase it like that, perhaps some more time in high school is in order?
-
The spelling can be improved too.

I think Michele summed it up perfectly. Max, I have only the greatest of respect for you. Your courage, spirit and attitude is a real inspiration. I have to ask though: Who, in your opinion, really benefited from your sacrifice? PS. Before I get jumped on by the usual suspects:- I spent 18 years on active and non-active reserve and I have several active-duty tours under my belt.

Naaaah...... You think?

The old guy asked the doctor for a prescription for half a pill of Viagra...he don't need it for sex, he just wanted it to get big enough to not pee on his shoes. The old guy takes the other half of the pill at bedtime. It stops him from rolling out of bed in his sleep.
-
Who determines that?
-
Why not? What harm can it do? A wannabe actress playing a well known person has been done many many times before. What is the big deal?

POLL - Determining factors whether someone is qualified to be an instructor?

Yup. Still being alive is highly recommended. -
A general rule of thumb (for belly-to-earth jumps) is 10 secs for the first thousand feet, and 5 secs for every thousand feet thereafter.
