A truly delightful read! In your original post you wondered who would be interested. I am sure that I can say without fear of contradiction :- anyone who has ever jumped from an aircraft!

Or JR could just emigrate to...... ENGLAND!

My sentiments exactly. Although it is rather amusing how the usual suspects will grab onto anything that will satisfy their desire to bash.

This 85 year old German man actually used the word neocons?

Agreed. I keep getting hit in my back with a fly when I screw up my cast. Perhaps a Fly Fishing forum is in order....

The 2003 war in Iraq - does anybody still fully support it?
Erroll replied to vortexring's topic in Speakers Corner
Just as a matter of interest from across the waters, how does the CNN article below fit in with the above statement? From CNN: "Records: Senators who OK'd war didn't read key report" Hillary Clinton, John McCain and most others in Congress didn't read document Newspaper: Six senators, a few House members logged as reading report Link -

This explains a few things.... -
I agree. I doubt very much that the next-of-kin of Tom Keys, Gordon Gentle and that of the other nearly 150 fallen British soldiers will agree.

Howard stops Oz Cricket team going to Zimbabwe

I agree with you. However, it is all to little avail when Zimbabwe gets elected to head the UN Commission on Sustainable Development. The person taking up this post, Francis Nhema, stole a 1000 hectare farm from a white farmer. The farm has since collapsed, and a third of the farm workers have died of illness and malnutrition. Now Nhema will advise the world on how to achieve economic progress and protect the environment! (Source: The Citizen). -

That might save you from standing on the porch facing North. -
. There you have it. With humane teeth we can kill an animal quickly and painlessly.

The owner of a private game reserve here in SA was last week eaten by several lions. It appears that he got out of his car to take photographs of the lions. Many people are now calling for the lions to be put down. It would be a great pity if that happened. Animals are called animals for a reason.

if you can tie an ass pubic hair using your tounge only, you can apply. ummm... NO!!! Consider using your tongue instead - it is far more flexible than your tounge.
-
Ah! That explains it. I thought tounge was a Slovanian word.

Reading that kinda disturbs me.... ...and now you're telling him it's ok to open lower than that, rather than track? Read his post again.

Besides, it that were to happen the Irish would have too much free time on their hands, and they may actually learn to play proper cricket.

Pilots are NOT "dime a dozen"!
Erroll replied to JumpShipGypsy's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I have seen a few of those..... Scary! -
I was amused to see the second jumper referred to as a "Sky Diver" (in qoutes). Clearly a newish term at the time.

Guy definition n. A rope, cord, or cable used to steady, guide, or secure something. tr.v. guyed, guy·ing, guys To steady, guide, or secure with a rope, cord, or cable. Guy etymology [Partly from Middle English gie, guide, guy (from Old French guie, from guier, to guide; see weid- in Indo-European roots) and partly from Low German; akin to Dutch gei, brail.] Another geek.

I would venture to suggest that by far the majority of the software used on the aeroplanes was developed by civilian contractors and not by the military. Where it seems the military have failed was to ensure or carry out proper testing. I seem to remember reading somewhere that something like 70% of the first Space Shuttle's 'error handling' software routines were never excercised or tested properly. (Disclaimer - this could have been told to us young (at the time) software developers to impress upon us the importance of properly testing every line of code in every routine for every possible condition. Crossing the IDL is such a condition!)

How about some creative editing of your notes before handing them over?

Excellent idea!
