I grew up in NYC and like I said Mom told me 50 yr's ago about the strangers, don't accept candy, rides etc. Later I was offered all that stuff, thought about what mom told me and just said no and split. In hindsight I think I wasn't "scared"of the bad guys because mom wasn't explicit about what they would do to me if i went with them. I just knew that mom told me not to. I know a lot of people who would never ask for a dime either. I know people who have hurt themselves with no insurance and never asked for a dime. I agree with you all that EVERYONE should have insurance. I have insurance. I was just saying the reality of this sport is that a lot of people don't. I'm not saying they ask for money when they are hurt. They don't. Although I have seen instances where it wasn't expected for people to give money to help someone in need but a lot of people did. A DZ is a business that can't exist without employee's. The folks that work at DZ's need to smarten up they are working in a industry where they can get hurt. But they are not recieving minimum benifit's other than having a cool job that they love. If DZ employee's demanded insurance coverage, then what?
