I have seen people post on here asking for others to help them decide between rigs, but I can't figure out how to save my drafts and be able to open them up. I save, but when I open the file I get a blank. What am I doing wrong? I want to design a bunch, then go through them after. thx. -A

I currently have a Voodoo in my shop for pull-out to throw-out conversion. Both owners have had too many reserve rides that they blame on pull-out. Wow, that stinks. And after reading that link to Bill Booth's opinion/experiences, i'm really reconsiering pullouts. He says that the pull out system does not allow you to simply toss the pc into the airstream, but instead, in order to get it out of your burble, you must alter your body position a bit which causes the jumper problems on a loaded elliptical. I am not looking to have unstable deployments on my parachute. Maybe I need to stick with boc, i've never had any problems with it. -A

Pull-out doesn't prevent PC-in-tow, but it'll help a little with almost eliminating horse-shoe mals involving the container itself. Ahh, so that's what it was. thx. Angela.

It's good to know the service is good. I'd hate to have a problem getting something adjusted if it didn't fit right upon arrival. What gripes did you have, if you don't mind my asking (you can pm if you'd like). Also, I know that over the years they've made changes to these rigs (riser flaps, etc), when did you get yours? Any changes in mfg since then on the things you didn't like? thx! angela.

I don't intend to borrow anyone elses rig, so I suppose that is a non-issue on the pullout. I like the fact that it would avoid a pc in tow, and I think they look a little sleeker:) I would be getting a small container, so the fact that the larger ones may look funny is not an issue here. My boyfriend has a larger one that fits the pd143 reserve, i'd assumed the smaller ones wouldn't differ too greatly, but it'd be nice if someone had a pic wearing a V0. :) -A.

Tell me about your rig, how do you like it? I know the Voodoo offers good pin and riser protection, and it's supposed to be major comfy. So, tell me how you like it. I'm looking for a bulletproof comfy rig, and I think this might be it. All opinions welcomed. I am *thinking* about possibly getting a new container. My current container fits my main, and fits me ok, but there are things that are bothersome about my 96' Javelin TJN (it might be 95', I forget): -In the air, it sits off of my back a bit. This probably causes some wobblyness (?). -I get chafing or bruising at my arm pits quite often. As well as from the legstraps on my inner thighs. -The main flap opens in freefall. Granted, this could probably be fixed with a rubber band or something. -It is generally not all that comfy for me and I know my boyfriend's rig is comfy for him, so i'm jealous. Good things about it : -I already own it -It's pretty and matches all my stuff. -It fits my main now, and it will still fit another smaller main in the future, and then probably a smaller x-brace as well, so that is a non-issue. - - - - - - - - - So, i'm not sure if buying a new container would be worth it for me, but i'd darn sure like to try some on. I'd like something that is bomb-proof (freeflail friendly, super riser protection and pin protection) and SUPER-comfy! My boyfriend loves his Voodoo... I'm considering Mirage, Voodoo and Micron, but don't have access to any of them, and I assume some dzs would have some but they'd probably be guy-sized. What is a girl to do? Thoughts? Angela.

Tree limbs. Monday, I was talking to the two linemen that were driving by. They said that a tree limb cracked and fell on a transformer. The transformer was ok with the wind, but not the tree. Man, I wanna know why they have weak ass trees next to transformers! That sux! They (the city) should be required to pull up weak tree strains, or shallow rooted trees. There aren't many houses nearby to me, I doubt this transformer is in someone's backyard. It is probably public property (purely speculation). Century Villiage was a disaster because of the type of trees they had (can't remember the name, they had super shallow roots. These are HUGE trees. Do they not know we live in Florida? Incompetence kills! Angela.

Maybe things are a little different there. When I called FPL last Sunday, I actually got a live person. I was informed that they were aware of the power outtages in my area, and would send people out when winds dropped below 35mph. Man, crazy skydivers have gone up in 35mph, and these guys need less wind than that. Frances' worst had gone, now we were getting some stormy bands, but calmness for the most part. Yet, until there were no gusts above 35mph, they would not go. But... thankfully, my power came back on Monday, many people are still w/o. -A.

I have a question... Why did my power go out before Frances even got close. We were having like 40mph gusting on and of, and boom, my power goes at 9am Friday 9/3. I'm just curious as to what crappy equipment can't withstand 40mph winds? My boyfriend is from Chicago, and it is hella windy there, and no problems. So, wassup w/Fla? Try to calm down a bit, read some, etc. I know I had a hard time w/o power, too... went kinda stir crazy, tho, for me, it was really lack of good food that got to me. Even without being married, but just deeply committed, I think this can surely be the case! Seems to me that it all depends on what you're looking for, what your partner is looking for... and most importantly, that you communicate that to one another.
