as its easier for setting this for ranges rather than cells.

Its actually easier to do this by going into the VBA editor and setting workbook properties with some short code. If you want to build up on Excel knowledge perhaps you may like to check out the Excel-G List server. Plenty of people on there willing to help from anything from simple basics to more complex VBA. http://peach.ease.lsoft.com/archives/excel-g.html

I have heard this, and apparently someone has done the maths that a XXXX formation would fall slow enough to enable this.......... of course physics will also tell you that a bumble bee cant fly, so calculations and theory are not always the best thing to rely on and certainly not when dealing with human beings................ Not sure I would put my trust in XXXX other people to hold it down to the deck..............

My first solo came about on my 14th jump. I was still at this time still wondering whether BASE was something I should be doing - so one night alone I decided to go out to a tower and make a jump without anyone knowing. I spent the whole journey thinking "what am i doing" I spent the whole climb thinking about what I was doing and whether it was worth this cold lonely climb, once on top I spent 30+ mins just sat there looking around thinking about why I was there and thinking about my friends and family if this should be the last night of my life. I got my kit on and checked myself and climbed over and sat on the rail. I continued thinking about where I was and what the fuck I was doing there. Still even after all this time in this lone situation I still had questions. Then I decided to focus on the exit - I had that "calm" suddenly move over me and I was ready "3-2-1-CYA" and I was off into that time stood still moment - I pitched - I opened - I landed - I gathered my gear. I then ran off to my car giggling to myself, I stashed my gear in the car and sat in the drivers seat and took a breath - "yep, this is what I want to do" another giggle to myself............ I drove home and sat at 2am alone having a beer filling in my log book - still giggling.............. It was this jump as a solo that I realised that BASE was something for me....... so so personal. I made several other solos (including my first B) and each one is more of a memory than other jumps with people. I have such a personal time with a solo that they are with me for ever in pure colour! saying that, I have grown older and wiser and walk with a limp and have much metal holding my leg together. I will never make a solo again (well, maybe not) - but I still look back and remember those pure happy times...... Love it for yourself............

Nice............... glad my jumping is not as bad as my cooking!

i disagree............ pure solo is a beautiful thing......... but not advisable........

I have been speaking with a skydiver from Bonfire that offered to create software for skydivers for free to create some software for BASE jumpers to use. After some discussion, he can create some windows software that will allow you to enter details of your jumps and drill down and pull out detailed information relating to your information. I thought this a good idea as I had a spreadsheet where i could bring up information relating to my jumps where I could say what PC I used I had the most off headings with........ I sent this guy a list of the data points I could initially think of to have, (i got this together in a few minutes) and I would like others to review and add as this guy will "FOR FREE" create some software allowing the anal section of our group drill down what ever figures we want from what ever information we want....... For all of us anoraks, we need to take advantage of this...................

PM'd my initial list............ Will speak soon about further thoughts on it. Thanks Michael

just drawing something up for you, will PM you Nice one!

How about a BASE specific one? I had a spreadsheet that I would analyise my openings, PC's used, delays, winds etc to see the data on what PC's and delays were giving me the worst off headings, and also just info on the type of jumps I was getting more done of and from what objects. If you fancy doing a BASE specific program I bet some of us anal data reading jumpers would be VERY pleased!

what about a log book you can draw down analysis from. % of jumps 4 way % of jumps freefly % of birdman total freefall time freefall time flat freefall time freefly blah blah blah etc etc etc I think that would be kinda cool

This is my point, the names and addresses of people reporting crimes are in these logs. Do local papers publish the name and address of the person reporting the crime? If you reported someone for a crime, would you really like them to know who your are and where you live?
-
It seems that many police departments keep their logs publically available. Although most are not publically advertised on their sites, with a search on google you are able to find them. Now although police records are public information (I believe), some of these logs state the name and address of people who have reported an offence and the person arrested. Surely having it public knowledge is perhaps not something sensible, perhaps the people reporting crimes dont realise that they are there for the world to see. I happened to stumble on this and just thought that this is the sort of information you should not be seeing on the internet, what do others think? an example of one that I found with a google search http://www.imagedump.com/index.cgi?pick=setandget&tp=218681&poll_id=0&category_id=20&warned=y

bungy fatality list: fuck relying on others hey.......... in addition: just curious, is this the same dangerous sports club that Martin Lyster was a member?

actual first UK boogie ever i think Let me know how much thouse dounots are so i can bring some mony..

Not sure if this article will help in anyway. Also I beleive there is a way to force google to find your page when certain search terms are entered. I cant remember what the method is called.

I respect how much PG pilots know about the air............. I seriously think that skydivers and BASE jumpers need to learn SO much more about it - For anyone wanting to build their knowledge on the air then the book by Dennis Pagen - "understanding the sky" is a must read.......... Although I did find I had to read it a couple of times to have some of it sink in.......... Thoughts on this book from PG pilots?
-
I have been looking at a few movie download sites, and wondered if these are actually worth using and paying for? Most promise the "best" and for what always seems a cheap fee you have unlimited access to movies you can burn onto DVD.......... So, anyone use these sort of sites? and is it worth it? or am i being ignorant?? Thanks for any info....................

looks like the wing partially collapses (he notes that the winds are pretty gnarly too and I hear that paragliding wings can collapse due to this) perhaps a paraglider pilot would like to explain, im certainly interested in why this happened.

no multiple options and limited options too....... scheesch............ ah the good old days at the DZ............ - I wonder where those twins are now?

yeah good vid........... and nice arse!

I posted this on BLiNC In my eyes the list as many benefits. It is educational on how people have died. It is a memory to people. It is a way to show prospective new jumpers that deaths are not just numbers but are actual people - people that we know. Unlike the 100's of skydivers that have died and have been forgotten except by those close to them, this list remembers each and everyone and allows their memory to be carried on to future generations. It is very personal for each fatality and I for one beleive that it should be kept that way. To get rid of it is an insult to the fallen. As soldiers are remembered by name for deaths in battles on the many many many monuments around the UK and the world, so should we remember by name the brothers that have fallen in our battle against gravity, a battle we will never win, but just hope for a stalemate each and everytime. I guess it covers alot said here already, but thought I would throw my 2 pennies in
