Why shallow brakes? I thought you should always use deep brakes when jumping E's or B's due to strike possibilities. surely jumping slider up means you jump a more shallow break setting than Slider down? unless you are doing some lower freefalls slider down with nice landing areas where a shallow break setting is better than the deep setting? anyone like to comment? PS) on the thread subject - can you please answer about direct / indirect and PC size?

due to the measurement system used - a Troll 265 is more like a 280, * 205 ft.2 = PIA spec 219 * 225 ft.2 = PIA spec 240 * 245 ft.2 = PIA spec 260 * 265 ft.2 = PIA spec 282 * 290 ft.2 = PIA spec 309 I jump a Troll MDV 265 and found it great in the UK environment (sub300) (I only ever jumped a dagger before this though (in the same environment), so my opinion maybe warped!)

1) I don't think that a majority of the BASE jumpers are extreme athletes. I don't think people who see that show will line up to take FJCs. 2) If a lot of people go in, the media will have a field day and BASE jumping will get a lot of negative attention. The show was what it was, the story of a BASE jumper. It was pretty well done. Kris. do you know skin? maybe not hey............

I can now take my copy of Groundrush out of hiding now! Well at least quickdraw sent you something nice as a present - when I was laid up in hospital pissing into a bottle and shitting into a pan, Faber and Quickdraw got together and sent me an "oral-simulator" - the curious nurses waited as i unwrapped the box in gold paper as they were curious as to what kind present was sent to me................. after they stopped laughing, for some reason they shut my door and knocked and asked if they could come in each time..... hey quickdraw / Faber, why did I not get a thoughtful present like this - rather than a nasty bit of plastic that cant bring me off no matter how much i try! - imaging the smell if it did! quickdraw - nice one! once you actually jump, i will be happy to go with ya!..............

any locals there? I am there from 16th Dec - 24th Dec - my GF is taking me to FL for a week for my Xmas present! NICE! - I am not looking to jump during this time as I am still recovering from injury, but if anyone is able to hook for a beer and a laugh then let me know.............

so true............ the effects on your life can be overwhelming, unless you are truly accepting of them then they probably wont be out weighed by the benefits……….. you may get along for a while with no fall out from your jumping, but one day it will turn around and smack you in the face – just make sure you can stand there and say “It was all worth it and I have no regret” BASE effects you in ways you never imagined!
