    I'm good with 6 months, but I think 12 months is a bit too much. T hat's an entire cycle of changing weather conditions and in some cases a lot fo wear and tear on the gear. Our DZ is very moist in the winter and very dry in the summer. We jump all year long. I have no factual data to back it up, but I personally want my rig re-packed at least twice a year to air it out and clean the housings. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies!     Hey G. Our store carries several styles of perscription goggles. From inexpensive to quite expensive. If the goggle is too cheap, the foam and the frame wear out quickly. THen you have your expensive scrip lense in there. I have had good success so far with the SG-1 by Wiley X. Skii Goggles are not low profile enough.     You are not pushing your luck, you are being careless. If/when the harness fails it could be catastrophic. It is possible to retrofit a Tandem Harness Container system to suit your needs.     Are there any old timers out there who ever jumped in New Hampshire about 40 years ago? I was looking through some old family photos and my Dad used to own an airport there. The sign in the photo says, "Skydiving" and there is a photo of a reserve ride taking place. The jump pilot was named George Turner.
