  6. Okay. To anyone who didn't know Shannon, this might sound really fucked up. Two years ago at Rantoul, I made these. Shannon loved them. She also got a bikini top with the closing pin. I'm going to make my Shannon pin into a thong. I have extra blank panties and tops. If anyone wants one, just let me know. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  7. I have some amazing Byron Sunset pics if you want to use them. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  8. Dude. You can buy pink boas at Michaels. I'm thinking we can wear them like ribbons. Pink feathers flying everywhere. It will be great. Of course, we'll have a pink boa breifing first!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  9. Where are you coming from? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  10. Peter, Let me know if you want help with the design. Okay you guys. Without searching all of her threads....there are too many.... what is with the penguin. It must have been a web thing. Peter her gear is not purple and white and royal any more. It's red, orange, yellow and navy. She just fixed her obnoxious pants too. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  11. SFO, San Jose or Oakland. In that order. Depends where you are coming from. Post here if you need a ride. Oakland would not be far out my way. There are tons coming from They City (San Francisco). Also from the south bay. So go for the cheapest flight and let us know. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  12. Wild Child. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  13. You know she must be reading this thread. And I'm convinced that she is laughing her ass off at that comment. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  14. Before I finished ground school in Perris 1994. On our lunch break, I found out that one of the girls in our room in the bunk house had just went in. I made my choice right there and then. I sometimes wonder why I went back into class. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  15. Well, then. I'm seriously sending you a hug Amazon. Go ahead. Take my breath away. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  16. Oh great Amazon!!! Now how is he supposed to breath?? I know your hugs take my breath away. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  17. Good morning Bob. I have a feeling you'll be checking in here from time to time. This is your gentle reminder to just breathe. That is your only true responsibility right now. The rest will follow. Just breathe. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  18. Shannon and I spent a lot of time playing with swatches and coloring her new rig. I was out of town when it arrived. Everyone kept telling me how horrible it was. So many colors. So messed up. It must be a mistake. I called Shannon to see if she liked her rig. She said, "It is so obnoxious! I love it!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  19. Some pics from my computer.... All these pics were taken by Jett exept for Sandi and Shannon. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  20. Shannon, I'm sitting here drinking a bottle of your wine.... breaking my own rule of not drinking and posting.... ....I've gained a lot in this sport.... I've lost so much too.... I hope it all balances out.... ...in time.. ...in time.... I haven't cried all day because I'm not sure how to guide Jett through this. She has been drawing all afternoon. We have some pretty pictures of you.... for you... She thinks you are one of the funniest girls she knows. She is right. Nor Cal is reeling right now. I hope you know... I hope Bob knows how much you are loved. Bob. I know. I know how much she loved you. You can't go around this one. You can only go through it. But please, please know that you are loved, and you are not alone.... ever. Damn girl..... .... damn! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  21. The first time I jumped with the throw out system vs. the rip cord. It was a different angle than I was used to. I also go PC in the face. It hasn't happened again. What is worse, at the begining of my AFF "career", I took a knee to the head on reserve side at opening. The is more of a danger. That can knock you out and/or kill you. I learnt pretty quickly to rotate my body into a defensive position. The other one is the spinner. I like to put my forearms in front of my face when I go in on those. I sort of hover above and wait for it to come around and drop in between the arm and leg with my arms up to block my face. That's been the most sucessfull for me. AFF can be fun. I've had fat lips, split lips, bruised cheeks, bruised forearms, um... I think that's it. But the reward of making new jumpers is priceless. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! 22. I'm not too keen on the reserve size of the first container. On a first rig, I would start you off on a PD160 or similar. Maybe 170 main, if all of your training is going well, and you are on it. Just my opinion. Worth what you paid for it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  23. Are you talking about 1000 lb Vectran? I don't think I would feel comfortable taking my lines to 800 jumps. 400 seems to be the majik number around here. Do you think I'm too conservative? I've seen a couple of failures. One on a brake line with 300 jumps. The other on suspension lines, but hard to tell how many jumps they had on them. But I don't get to play with the volume that you do. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  24. It depends on a few things. What will your budget allow? Do you jump at a DZ that rents rig and accessories, just rigs, or none of the above. It's nice to have your own helmet, goggles and altimeter. That is the most common first purchase in my store along with a log book. Then jumpsuit, then rig. But if you have the money, then get as much as you can. Jumpsuits and rigs can take up to 12 weeks to arrive. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  25. Dacron: Lines have more give/stretch; eases opening shock. Spectra: Pack smaller; less drag Vectran: Also low pack volume; does not shrink like Spectra. Good for high performance canopies where the trim/flight will be greatly effected by shrinkage. Cons. Dacron: Thick, bulky, high pack volume Spectra: Not very shock absorbant. Prone to shrinkage 200 - 300 jumps for steering lines. 500 - 600 jumps for full line set. Vectran: Wears out quicker. 300 - 400 jumps for a line set. Wear may not be as easy to detect. Old line can fail. Routine line changes are recommended at above intervals. You won't have the tell tale sign of the canopy going out of trim. This is not a complete list. Just some general notes about the various line types. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
