  1. 1. Somewhat less than my household income, at least as of the last time I did taxes (a bit behind there). 2. Probably quite a bit higher than mine, but I haven't seen any data at all on wealth vs. percentile. I expect that one either has to inherit, or make a lot more than I do, or get a good bump from stock options at IPO, to get into the top 1% of net wealth.
  2. I'm guessing that you banged Tinky Winky.
  3. My random thought on your post's title was a combination of Itunes and Match.com (which is where I met my wife), where you would be matched up to people by the hit rate of joint music interest.
  4. Maybe he's back in the saddle again with some lowly Jimson weed.
  5. Yes, but he will be spinning it that the unfounded sexual allegations by conspirators were what did him in, not his total lack of qualifications.
  6. So does it "allow" it, or does it require it?
  7. I personally gave up night jumps when I moved from a 249 sq ft canopy to a 135. You'll notice that the jumpers in that youtube link are jumping quite large canopies. If I recall correctly, there was someone who caught their canopy on fire in the early 70's, so be certain that you know your materials, and buy extras to practice on the ground.
  8. It ain't just Libya. He doesn't know where he stands on unions, and think that the federal employees have the right to collectively bargain.
  9. No, we aren't. There were many who though that everything had already been invented when I was growing up in the early 60's. Sure, lots of things are just refinements, and improved/cheaper manufacturing, but lots aren't. Computers/word processors raised the bar as far as what every little document should look like -- sometimes just making more work rather than getting any more done.
  10. More so than Obama Nowhere close to true, which just goes to show you how really really bad Perry looks to get under that bar.
  11. Yep. We got a bunch of lower tech counterfeit parts (capacitors) into our supply line after the Japanese tsunami. Our buyers went outside the usual channels, trying to scoop up more part inventory, and got burned.
  12. Reagan is way to centrist to get the nomination (R or D). He'd have to run as an independent.
  13. Not toast until the Republican field of candidates looks viable, and not like s prank.
  14. Nah, leaked by the Koch brothers. Now that he has promoted their agenda for hire so well, it is time to move him off stage and bring someone to the forefront that actually might win the election.
  15. Be more forthright and tell the truth "It's not me...it's you."
  16. A necessary waste of time because of those who feel as you do I cannot understand why you would defend this waste of time. You seem more concerned than most folks with the efficiency of government, and this bill does absolutely, positively nothing of even miniscule use. Maybe if they appended "Anyone else pays cash" to the slogan it would be relevant.
  17. Why is it that poll results so often look like a hand shooting a bird?
  18. I don't know about all that, but somebody is overpaying Joe Illegal. And I've seen lots of legal licensed contractors who don't pay their taxes.
  19. Cain doesn't matter much. He will not get the nominatiion.
  20. No, but I usually have one in my pocket in the tunnel...
  21. Yes, that is correct. If you make $1,000,020, you will owe another $1. I did see a headline that say 5.6% instead of 5%, but didn't take time to investigate that.
  22. Yes, but there are others on the list no more likely to win than she was. I expect that if the poll were done now, she would still come out ahead of half the pack.
  23. Doesn't apply to the first million, which is why you will not owe anything "new" if you only make one million, and "only" $50k new if you make 2 million. That is going to hit the individual, not "hit a lot of S-Corps." Perhaps you meant "hit the owners of a lot of S-Corps." See above for the fact that it will not apply at all for the 1st million. If you net $1.1 million income, you'll pay an extra $5k.
  24. She didn't say it. She said someone told her. Sorta like that vaccine-retardation story. She needs to know that she doesn't need to repeat everything she hears -- it isn't going to build up inside her head until it explodes.
