    The Snopes article exactly quotes Pelosi as saying she wanted a plane that would fly coast to coast without refueling. That is my objection, thanks for finding a reference to support it. BTW, I'm about as left wing as you will find, from my contributions to the DNC, to funding scholarships mostly going to Hispanics, to thousands I give to PP. I just call unnecessary spending by politicians, especially on themselves, when I see it.

    Maybe unjustified, but hardly unprovoked. Maybe he was calling the kid "fucking coon" up close, as he can be heard doing on the 911 tape when he is following him. Maybe he was pushing the kid and the kid pushed back. Then the shooting would still be an unjustified response. This is another nutter with a gun, a cop wanna-be. I don't think that you would find a lot of real cops mishandling the situation like this guy.

    Yeah, the kid had been on the phone with a friend, saying that someone was following him. She told him to run, and he said that he was just going to walk fast. Meanwhile, the police folks on the phone are telling Zimmerman not to follow the kid, while he says "fucking coons" right there on the tape of the call. The is little doubt that Zimmerman was totally the one at fault in the altercation. Maybe Mrs.Zimmerman hit him for being an idiot. Since you are making stuff up, so will I: maybe when he ran after the kid, he slipped and hurt his face.

    Well that is the same as the real media these days. Other than the odd Democrat house member losing a primary, the Republican candidates for all offices make up most of the "news."

Jeb Bush recently: "I used to be a conservative," Bush said, "and I watch these debates and I'm wondering, I don't think I've changed, but it's a little troubling sometimes when people are appealing to people's fears and emotion rather than trying to get them to look over the horizon for a broader perspective and that's kind of where we are."

    I don't care. They are in business to make money, and as long as fees are well spelled out and not punitive, no problem. It's not like they are going to make tons of money by only paying you 0.1% interest on a small account when they can borrow elsewhere in quantity nearly as cheap. I don't have a financial relationship with a bank, except a credit card so that I accumulate frequent flyer (buyer) miles. I can get cash at any 7-11 with no ATM fees, or at most credit unions. Amended: I also have a mortgage which is being serviced by a bank -- better refi rate than my credit union, with zero cost.
