learn to swim? barrier reefs eventually get reclaimed by the sea. We're just helping the process along. SCUBA. And the benefit is less skin cancer. Personally, I'm hoping for about 3-4 degrees F to make my swimming pool more comfortable, without needing A/C.

I wonder why they didn't show the photo of the squirrel crashing into the tree, blinded by the camera strobe.

Scientology Escapees Katie and Suri Cruise

I thought the breakup was because Tom wouldn't stop jumping on the sofa, which Katie thought was a bad influence on the kid. -
It could be, if the new grads couldn't find jobs in the field. Quite a few cannot. There are probably more "models" in school than are working in the industry.

No.

Smokers don't live as long, so it isn't all that clear that the extra burden treating earlier illness doesn't pay off by not paying them social security for as many years. How about that skydive and mountain biking and skiing lifestyle -- ends up in some pretty expensive orthopedics at times, and maybe long term care.

From the ACA text: (D) MEMBERS OF CONGRESS IN THE EXCHANGE.— (i) REQUIREMENT.—Notwithstanding any other provision of law, after the effective date of this subtitle, the only health plans that the Federal Government may make available to Members of Congress and congressional staff with respect to their service as a Member of Congress or congressional staff shall be health plans that are— (I) created under this Act (or an amendment made by this Act); or (II) offered through an Exchange established under this Act (or an amendment made by this Act).

There is nothing 2nd rate about the quality of American health care if money isn't a concern. It just costs 2x what it does in Europe for essentially identical care. Americans do travel abroad for procedures not yet done in the U.S., and people travel to the U.S. (or within the U.S.) to access someone with a lot of experience in a specific procedure.

Does your employer pay most of it then? My employer and I together pay over $26k for my medical insurance (including coverage for my spouse), not counting the out of pocket, co-pay, and non-covered items.

They used to be touted that way by the manufacturer, until the first couple of deaths. Then they changed it to the more accurate description. Maybe they thought they were non-lethal at the time. I made some coin shorting TASR stock back then. The have a place but, in my opinion, they should be used when the only reasonable alternative is a firearm.

I used to donate 4 times per year, until I tested anemic. Further investigation showed my ferritin level to be down to 4, vs. minimum standard of about 16 - 30 depending on who you believe. 60 or more is a better minimum. Pretty much every test related to red blood cells was out of spec. It took me 7 months of optimized iron supplements (take twice a day with vitamin C, take B12, don't take coffee tea or calcium within 2 hours before/after iron) to get my ferritin level up to 50. Ferritin is the molecule where iron is stored. The hemoglobin level doesn't drop until the storage is getting pretty depleted, but there are other results from low ferritin, such as hair loss in some people. If you are donating more than about once a year, you should be getting a lot of iron in your meat diet (veggie sources are poorly absorbed unless ingested along with meat source), taking supplements, or getting your ferritin tested once in a while. Donating one pint of blood takes about 250mg of iron away. You only absorb maybe 10% of supplements, so 2500mg should be taken to replenish, along with vitamin C and B12. This is about 5 weeks, with once a day of 325mg Ferrous Sulfate (yield 65mg iron each, absorbing about 7mg).

Imprecise and ambiguous. Was it the Tel Tec or the rapist's "compact package" the had the impressive fire power?

I'm doing my part. I've been spending $3k per week (average) for the last 15 months, remodeling my house. I not only bought a thingamajig, I bought a variable speed modulating thingamajig, and a dual-speed whatyoumaycallit for hot days.
