I suspect the truth is you would find it very helpful. Many people report it helps them recognize why the continue to repeat the same defeatist pattern they have become ingrained with. Like expecting others to be responsible for them. As I said, I've read it. I'm well up in the 2% based on income, if not total assets, and don't expect anyone to be responsible for me.

Thanks for the book recommendation, but I found it to be a bit light weight.

"Judge, my client was only doing God's work. You could at least change the charge from rape to assault with a holy weapon."

Well, I guess that also explains why that Starbucks barista in Oregon was sodomized and murdered one morning by her neighbor. I was wondering why that had happened.

Woman sets herself on fire and claims it was the KKK
headoverheels replied to regulator's topic in Speakers Corner
Sad and pathetic. Reminds me of that Young Republican woman from (I think) Texas, canvasing for McCain in (IIRC) Pennsylvania. Claimed that she had been attacked by a black man because she was campaigning for McCain. Turned out to be a total fabrication. She got a tremendous amount of support, until it turned out she was just a liar. Their web blog was wide open for anyone to post, until they locked it down when the truth came out. -
I had to laugh just now when I looked at your link (had already heard about it so didn't bother earlier). Nothing says Faux News like that photo, and that subject (the Don).

That WAS Romney. Or are you just joking?

Problem is, much or most of the US electorate hears b.s. from whatever side, and totally misunderstands -- which is often the intent . -
There doesn't have to be a god to make prayer useful. "Clearing" can also be useful.

Hmmmm.....back at it already, in 30 states. http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/la-pn-fired-rnc-consultant-canvassing-campaign-20121012,0,2171682.story -
Not to let the cat out of the bag, but he's going to claim that Obama is half white.

He want you to vote for write-in candidate Pettyjohn?

That Gallup poll was Oct 11-17, so only 1/7th at most was post-2nd debate. Let us hold our breath for their next week update. Meanwhile, http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2012/president/2012_elections_electoral_college_map_no_toss_ups.html

Then you have forgotten about the field of candidates. I'm scratching my (something) still wondering why we don't get better candidates.

Study: Free Birth Control Leads to Fewer Abortions
headoverheels replied to jclalor's topic in Speakers Corner
Let's get rid of Schedule A deduction for religious donations. Why should I pick up the tax tab for someone else's social club? Get rid of Schedule A deductions for mortgages too. And group (employer) health insurance for smokers, anyone overweight, skydivers and motorcycle riders. Back to the thread, which wasn't about tax payers paying for contraception, it was about reducing abortions by providing contraception. -
Should it be a crime to blaspheme Muhammad?

1. How pathetic and weak must your belief be, to think that it is threatened by what someone says (as long as you are not kept from practicing)? 2. It seems pretty egotistical to think that any supreme being really cares or notices what Man is doing. -
"Legitimate rape" won't make you pregnant

No, it is "assault with a friendly weapon." -
Deferred isn't quite as much of a win as it appears, since it all will be taxed as ordinary income at payout. Pay the taxes up front and invest long term, and you pay the lower capital gains rate. In my case, retirement tax bracket will not be that much lower than what I make now.
