  1. No, cruiser says I look good going speeds less than 110. I am 23 and I ride a 2002 HD Fat Boy. I love it, and actually for 1450cc the center of balance is perfect. She weaves and carves turns like a champ with footboards sparking. I would lean towards the Honda, that was gonna be my bike before I got the HD. But that was mainly because I thought it was the only decent looking cruiser other than HD. My 2nd bike will be a Buell Firebolt. Freefallfreak, nice nostalgia bike. What was the basis for that thing? My Dad has a 68 triumph...?Bonneville? I think. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  2. FARKers have been predicting the French surrender for some time. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  3. Another nice util I just found: http://www.dnsstuff.com/ -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  4. I got this in the 'overnight' email from South Africa. Using the word phased and what we heard from others, I am thinking that it is a get them while they are hot type of thing, agreeing with bergh. Who knows when they will actually be gone. I like the sales pitch once again, I guess they really like Ralph. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

  7. Sorry HH, post changed -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  8. Anyone know of places other than the common sites? I have already posted to our classifieds, enclave, and ebay, and I was just curious if there were more? -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  9. Yeah, I have 4 or 5 different graphics apps, ACDSee, Irfanview, PS, etc. But each is really good at something. I fyou just want a small prog that does not take 90 seconds to load the splash screen just to crop some pixels or change color depth, this thing rocks AND it is free. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  10. Guys check out Irvanview Nifty little prog, freeware and does most simple editing and format changing. http://www.irfanview.com/ -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  11. Well, I would figure, leave the MACs out of the equation, the rights in MAC OS might let them dowload it outside of the virtual PC environment anyway. Are all the PCs NTFS? -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  12. Yeah, cant we post an FAQ for this? -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

  14. I know AD is not necessary, I said it would not hurt. He already said he was using the guest account. Most groups below admin, should not have install privs. But it depends on each setup. He can do local policy, but he could use AD and group policy and everything would be awesome. In theory waht he is already doing should work. But administering rights for a domain is alot easier than a group of local machines. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  15. The thing that gets me....only one person has mentioned. Guests should not have install rights! If they do, there is something bigger wrong, and you will face more problems down the road. my first guess would once again go back to the lack of NTFS. Seriously, running Win2k without NTFS is like jumping a round, it still works, but you lose almost all directional control. You really need to get a fully NTFS system up, and a domain with AD would not hurt either. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  16. Well guys the only thing that I can say is that two days in a row I have talked with Rigs and Things and both days he has assured me that he continues to get and place orders for custom Hornet canopies and has not had one turned down yet, and no word of them being discontinued. It might happen eventually, but I dont see it happening quite yet. Unless....Rigs and Things is not everything that I have heard them to be.... ? -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

  19. DAMN IT. Okay, i would be laughing my ass off too. Guess I should have spellchecked, but I was in a hurry. If this is in fact the case, why is Para-Service telling me that they ordered 3 yesterday? I have a new sigline now -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  20. YES, YES, we know that. My question is about getting PISA canopies still. I have distributors telling me that they are still available and have heard nothing otherwise. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  21. I am cross posting this to a new thread in Talkback. Yesterday, I emailed PISA with the following. The reason for this is that Para-Service said they knew nothing about Hornets being discontinued and had ordered some that day. They replied with: So other than a sales pitch for a distributor, how does this help me? Does anyone else have any more info? -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

  23. Now with clicky: www.arin.net ARIN keeps track of a lot of stuff. In Win2k, you can also goto a command prompt and type 'nslookup' followed by a space and the IP. If a name server entry is available for that IP, it will be shown. The latter half of my nameserver entry is .dsl.rcsntx.swbell.net which can be used to see that I am on DSL, in Texas, served by SBC. An ARIN whois entry is more accurate, but both are fun to play with. There is also a tool called IP Lookup that queries the ARIN Whois database without a browser. Freeware, download here: http://www.toolsforselling.com/v1/1/iplookup.htm Another cool util is Visual Route, a visual traceroute/ping/whois tool that shows (at least in theory) the path of packets between you an a certain IP. Alas, it is not freeware, but cool anyway. http://www.visualware.com/visualroute/index.html That is probably way more than you wanted to know, so I will stop there, and leave 'looking glass' sites for another day. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  24. hehe, rolling with good ole MP 6.4 for that very reason -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  25. Andrea, go to arin.net search for the IP. It will tell you the block of IPs and who they belong to. Should be pretty obvious if it is US or not. This is how you track online abusees -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
