  1. TJ you are one sexy bitch. And young too. What exactly did you injure ? (I *assume* you saw a doctor)
  2. You are welcome. Thank you for keeping my streak (3 years) of carrying somebody out of that place. Hope you heal fast. P.S. You are a heavy fucker.
  3. it's a longshot - but anybody find a black TurtelFur (little white turle logo on the outer rim) double fleece hat ? It has purely sentimental value to me. tnx in advance.

    Best RIG??

a container for 245ft troll WILL fit a 265 fox/flik whaterver. Trust me, I tried.
  5. I am fairly certain DSE meant that no system exists to stream to (like an ipod) using cameras USB2.0 or FireWire system - I am talking about replacing the inernal non-removeable HDD. the 30GB holds 4 hours of HD video - that's 7680MB per hour or 128MB per minute or 2.13MB per second - most CF cards can go much faster than that.
  6. Ok, just because this became interesting : FACTS : SR1 uses a 1.8" Latop sized Hitachi 30GB HDD an adapter does exist to convert CF to a 1.8" plug QUESTION : provided the adapter fits, and doesn't need a secondary power source, will the camera be able to interface with a CF card ? Anbody want to lend give me $1500 so I can play ?
  7. No, you cannot adapt a CF card system to work with it. There is no CF system at this time made that can accept a 1394 or USB2 input, fast enough to handle a sample-accurate stream. I wasn't suggesting an external adaptation - rather an intrernal hack. I do not have an SR1, but even if I did I would not take it apart - but I am wondering if it has a proprietory HDD in it or if it's using something that can be hacked to adapt a CF card instead of an HDD. Again, I am just hypothesizing, speculation only. - Like the older devices that you could take a lappy 2.5" HDD out and put a CF card in with an adapter - that worked great.

We'll warm the place up (in a good way) for you guys starting Wed :). P.S. Depending on the tiredness I may be willing to throw a few of my 15 man packjobs in druing BD :)
  9. ok, to counter - is it possble to adapt something solid state - as simple as a CF card with - 2.5" adapter to have this thing work ? Anybody care to chime in with more than just "go ahead and try it" ? tnx

    Best RIG??

Sorry for brining up old thread. But here's what a couch looked like a few weeks ago P.S. Pretty much all the rigs I have jumped were good rigs in my opinion. But a buddy of mine and myself seem to have a particular liking for Gargoyles.

  15. Perhaps not my favorite, but a good pic nevertheless
  16. I found that if you put male velcro on the bulletcam, and use motorcross gloves, you just stick the cam on wherever you need to, and then use another piece of long velcro to tie around - it's instant, cheap and works 100% as well with the flexibility of putting it ANYWHERE on your hand. Why try to re-invent the wheel ?
  17. I am happy to report that the testing phase is complete and I confirm that 32AV ( both small and large mesh) works fine from 8-12 seconds. ( 265 and 280 canopies ) happy flights
  18. Ok, Guess I will have to do the only thing that gives you 100% assurance - test it myself...
  19. Interesting. I have heard many people suggesting 32V, and I know a few people who have used it on 10-13 seconds (1800ft tower). I have used a 32AV and large mesh (rolled the piss ouf of the left and right nose cells) on a balloon jump, so that doesn't really count (like a 25 second delay) - but recently I was suggested a 36V or 36F111 for 10-12 seconds. - I was planning to jump large mesh since it's just too much pain to switch the sliders out. Question I still cannot answer - what's wrong with a 32V - does it really not generate enough drag ??? Plus 38 seems like a little overkill... Anybody ?
  20. now re-read that and tell me that did not sound gay.
  21. it was sold on eBay by a Brit. some months ago I believe. They wanted an insane $700 US or so.
  22. laser the bitch, don't trust the website
  23. I am 50% sure that this jump is from the same tower you got in the first pics
  24. Corky had a good pics of him doing a cutaway from a paraglider wing with a BASE setup (skydiving magazine a few issues back). He also claims to do a paraglider launch - cutaway - wingsuit flight - BASE deployement.
