To me THE LIST is a great tool, and a constant reminder not to get complacent. I did not find anything disrespectful about it. It's a tribute. It's a collection of facts. Bullshit. There was at one time video of test jumps of these from a building . Don't remember who or where, but it was a lowish building with a PLF landing on the grass.

at this point I have washed about 3 BASE containers and about 10 skydiving containers. I have to say that I find woolite + bathtub (and a little shout for real dirty parts) does a hell of a lot better job then a washing machine. I feel that I can micro-manage the "wash cycle" and that a toothbrush can really get the job done well in small areas. Also, FWIW the bright yellow toggles that many of us have - 5 minutes of shout and a good rinsing does wonders !. hope this helps...

There's a reason for that. It all depends when the break happens. The only premature break I'm aware of, the canopy was just being extracted when the break cord busted. The Pilot chute took over and saved the day. there was (is ???) video on sdmovies of a SL antenna jump where the SL breaks (no idea how it was rigged) right after exit - and the PC extracts the canopy (i *think* it was a jump in S. America). I don't see how that would of been survivable without the PC.

after tinkering along the same lines, and coming up with a zip tie solution.... about 20 jumps later a riser strike solidified my opinion that upgrading to an STI was cheaper :) good luck

To me if somebody says "it's jumpeable", that includes all aspects of the jump. If I say it's jumpeable I mean all aspects of the jump. I don't think anything was being put out of context. you may not realize it, but there have been many many jumps at Perrine with squirrly winds and intended water landings. Every site is unique.

My advice for any traveller - get money out of the ATM - much better exchange rates than the kiosks, EXPECIALLY the airport kiosks. have fun in KL, if only my wife was as cool as yours :)

If it's in good shape, and the harness fits you well, and already has a BOC - then (in my opinion) - YES. Assuming it has all the bags, PCs, risers.

To ANSWER YOUR QUESTION : yes, I have packed a Spectre 150 into both a OJ and TJN. Not the K versions though, never tried. The Spectres were all a few hundred jumps and were's a problem at all. Everybody is correct saying that Sunpath recommends up to a 139.

Ok. Everybody is making good points. May I add something to the table ? I happen to have over 14,000 feebacks on eBay and kinda of know what I am talking about :) Paypal : Selling : if you can, make sure they are VERIFIED (means their bank account is on file nad they have confirmed that they have acess to it), and CONFIRMED ADDRESS (means they have a credit card onfile and there CC billing address has been confirmed). Ship to their CONFIRMED address and make sure to require a signature for anything over $250 USD Ship within 7 days Buying : Use your CC to finance the transaction. That gives you the flexibility of the issuing banks refund policy, not paypals (cuz paypal is strict and anal). Basically Paypal allows a claim within 45 days of transaction, and then takes forever.
