    That's funny, I felt the same about learning to fly. To me, it seemed that there was way too much to learn and too many rules to follow for it to be fun and for me to feel safe not only for myself but for everyone else that was in the air. In skydiving, it pretty much boils down to open the parachute, if that fails, open another parachute, if that fails, flap your arms REAL HARD. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    Some munincapalities even have a law against illegal skydiving. If nothing else the police could bust you for reckless endangerment, creating a puplic nussance or whatever else they wanted to get creative with. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    Another example of someone becoming one of those people that will eventually be the straw that breaks the camel's back for a skydiver tetering on the brink of "just hating this fucking sport". The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    Hell, keep at it. We had a student that it took about 23 jumps to complete AFF training. He went on to be a well respected DZO in Texas and a board member with USPA. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    No, no and no. For me it was; politics, attitudes, egos, lack of aircraft maintenance, and a generally poor safety attitude. I looked at the effort I was putting into it and the return I was getting out of it and all the hassels and decided to hang it up. So far no regrets. Derek Wow Hooknswoop, ditto the above for me. The negatives finally outnumbered the positives that made it worth the hour and a half drive each way to the drop zone. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    I just went form the A to the D. Could see no benefit from having a B or a C and certainly didn't waht to give USPA any more money that they didn't deserve. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    They were cleaning out an office / storage space yesterday where I work and came across an old stereo system that had turntable. One of the kids doing the job had never seen a turntable and I got to be a turntable instructor The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    Give the Yankees all the props in the world of being the best team of any sort of our age, however, I'm sooooooo very tired of seeing them in the World Series.     Well, this whole thing is over ratings. Nothing bad ever happens to Rush until the fall ratings period. Last fall it was 'Oh, the sky is falling, I'm going deaf" and by the way, whatever happened to that?? I guess he'll come up pregnant next fall. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

Alvarez Classical model ? that I bought new in 1970 for 125.00 now priceless (to me at least). It's really the only one I like to play now. Still play the bass on occasion.
