    My experience with the pro rating was that the creditability of the rating/concept never reached the level that was the original intent due to the fact that the FAA would still approve high exposure demos for those who did not have a Pro rating. It seems that the USPA never fully educated the FAA as to the legitimacy of the rating and how much effort the holders went to to get it. Also, if you went to the USPA with a complaint about less experienced jumpers doing high risk demos without a pro rating, they didn't want to get involved and would just say it is an FAA decision. Well thanks for the support USPA Had I not been on two high exposure demo teams that required a Pro rating, I never would have renewed it after the first year.     I tend to agree with the adrenaline rush theory. Most likely, low timers get sick because they have NEVER had so much adrenaline pumped through so quick in their lives. You'll learn to get used to it, you'll learn to LOVE it The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    Great demo pics, love the three cannister effect. Noticed the C-47 with invasion day stripes and wondered if you knew if it was from around the Texas area. Saw one fly ofer my house yesterday (Saturday) after it had taken off Addison Airport in the Dallas area. Had invasion day stripes just like the one in the picture and wondered if it might have come from Oshkosh and dropped someone off at the Cavanaugh Flight Museum at Addison. Havent seen it in the area before. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    Had a group of bungee instructors come up for tandem jumps one time and they were trying to tell everyone that would listen that bungee was loads more of a rush than skydiving because it is done much closer to the ground. I told them that bungee was the two things I hate the most about skydiving, ground rush and opening shock. Anyway, I took the most vocal of the group up and the first words out of her mouth after opening was "God, bungee jumping sucks". The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    20 years and 5000 plus jumps (1748 of them tandems, 275 of them AFF and countless demos), I just needed a change. Made a jump about two years ago just to see if any spark would be rekindled but just didn't feel the need. Still think skydiving is the nutz though and wouldn't take any amount of money for the experiences I've had. Glad I found this website to kinda keep up with what's going on but still can't work up enough intrest to re enter. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    I was in a very tight relationship with a lady when I started jumping lo these many years ago. After about nine months the ultimatum came that it was either her or skydiving. Hard choice but I chose skydiving and at the time regretted losing my lady, took a long time to recover from that broken heart but over time it was OK. I quit jumping on my own terms six years ago and in the end, with the positive way things in my life have turned out, I have no regrets about anything that happened relationship or skydiving wise.     Guess I'm still on a break, after 20 years I stopped jumping in 1996 except one jump last year where I followed a friend out who was doing a tandem. After that jump, I still couldn't see any reason to start again. What have I done with myself since quitting?     Saw a student on a static line PRCP jump pull the belly wart ripcord instead of the dummy ripcord and got 2 round canopies out. She cut the main away but the RSL wrapped around her neck, reinflated the main amd hung her. She was in this situation in the air for about 3 or so minutes, lived over it but was quite mentally impaired after that due to lack of O2 to the brain. Not a pretty sight.     Maybe because the risers would be twice as long if the reserve was on the bottom and would present more of an entanglement factor. Also, if did a plf, the reserve is more out of the way with it up top. Probablly the FAA wouldn't buy off on a design like that. 'Course that's just my opinion, don't really know.
