    One Christmas Eve I had come back from our family gift opening get together and had left the presents they had given me in the car because it was so late and I was so tired. When I went out the next morning to take them in, someone had broken into the car and taken everything. I was pissed aout the broken glass but it solved the problem of "WTF am I going to do with all these dumb presents?" The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    I took a little person on a tandem jump, she was about 3' tall. She was so small that everytime i would tug on a strap while gearing up, she would almost fall over. Freefall went great but landing was a bit different. Her legs didn't reach the ground, they barely came down to my knees and it was like landing with with a large belly wart,

    Damn, Bob Necessary & John Hale still jumping, that's great. I think Bob was a rigger for McElfish way back when. Is Ed Duncan the same Ed Duncan that flew jump planes at Seagoville in the 70s and 80s? If he is the same one, he was the pilot on my first jump. Tell 'em all hi for me. As far as Herb Kelleher having a picture of the SWA jump, yes he does. He used to fly with the jet charter company that I worked for at the time and I slipped him a copy as he was getting on our Lear. The cheif pilot at SWA told me that Herb wanted to use it as the cover for their in flight magazine but the PR department discouraged it That picture was taken by an excellent freefall photographer named Bill Parsons.     I used to own a Paradactyl and got about 15 jumps on it before it just got too scary, besides, the openings were almost unsurvivable. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    In the 50s when I was 8 years old, a guy my father worked with was a jumper and my dad was always talking about how crazy he was for doing it. We went out to watch one Sunday afternoon and what I saw amazed me and I was hooked. Every weekend I would beg my dad to go to their DZ and maybe once a month he would take me. I thought it was great that the guys would ask me to 'lean" for them. Sounds rather preverted in this day of child molesting preists The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    Before I did my first CReW jump I was somewhat frightened of the whole concept but after that jump, that all went away and I was in to it for a while. When it got to where you had to have another canopy to get on decent CReW loads, I gave it up. Hell, I already had two rigs for RW / instructor jumps and also owned two tandem rigs. Yeah, all I needed was another rig The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    Went to Neil Young's "Greendale" concert a couple of weeks ago, really liked it (surprisingly) and got the CD. Also, Lucinda Williams opened for him and just picked her new CD up. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    If you are into historical novels, read London, The Novel by Edward Rutherford. It chronicles the history of London from pre Roman times up to 1996 through the lives of several fictional characters. It's amazing how much of the places and artifacts from ancient times are still there and cost nothing to see. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    Why do you think Bill has the name of his company "The Uninsured Relative Workshop"? Hell, I had a guy file on me after he failed to flair the canopy on landing after an AFF L-1 jump and broke both femurs. Sent his lawyer a noterized copy of my net worth and I was dropped from the suit ASAP. The less insurance, the better IMHO. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.
