Jumpers - Every Year, the Kansas State University Parachute club Hosts it's annual boogie. In years Past, we've grown from one cessna, to Two cessnas, and now our Boogie is Ready for Something....Bigger. The 2008 KSUPC Peggs/ 45th anniversary Boogie From Thursday, June 5th, through Sunday,June 8th. This is our first time in over 10 years hosting a Turbine Boogie, and thanks to the good folks of Team Fastrax, we'll have quite a show this year. - Team Fastrax Caravan 675, flying loads to 13.500 all week. - Free RW load organizing compliments of John Hart of Team Fastax - Hog Roast / Hawaiian Luau Saturday Night - ABC (Anything but Clothing Party) Friday Night - Night Jumps on Thursday - Demo Containers, canopies - Pitts-Biplane observer rides all weekend with aerobatic demonstrations - Several Meals, beverages, free camping, courtesy rooms provided! - $35 Regestration Fee to help pay for the Ferry Fee - A portion of the proceeds will go to the Geoff Peggs Scholarship fund I have been involved in planning this event for over 10 months, and I must say that I am excited! Kansas, Nebraska, Western Missouri and Oklahoma strongly need a turbine present, and We hope that this event will help bring all the skydivers together in the area. We encourage any and all to come and attend - we are setting jump tickets as low as possible ($22 as long as fuel behaves) to allow everyone to come out and jump. Apparently HPV is the New Craze amoungst kids these days. Guys can have it and not even know about it, but It gives the Ladies all sorts of funny colored discharges and foul smells/rashes, and I'll stop there. My last GF had that. I've gone for the whole time for 3 years. I love WFFC, if not for the jump - I love going around and meeting all the manufacturers and overall broadening my horizons as a jumper. I want to tell Don, "Look, it doesn't have to be HUGE!!" If things are slowing down, that's okay. call it a paradigm shift and go with the flow. Instead of 4 otters, 3 Casa's, a king air, 2 skyvans, and whatnot, why not have 3 otters, a Skyvan, a King Air, and one casa..... =========Shaun ==========

After the stellar success of last year and the wonderful 2 page article in the Parachutist , the Kansas State University Parachute Club will be hosting another event, this time, with 60 Loads from our one C-182 Wide Body. All are encouraged to come, it was a helluva time last year!! ALL DAY, $10 LIFT TICKETS!! No Regestration Fee!! Just $10 Jumps! Here is how it works. - We start exactly 6 minutes before sunrise. - All loads are to 3k. - Meet the Plane at the end of the runway, be ready at least 10 minutes before your load takes off. - Manifest as soon as the pin is in. - Participants will be asked to help with Pit Crew for fast fueling of the Aircraft. - Awards will be given for most jumps by category. Last year, Jimmy Coiner made some 25 jumps in one day. Are you going to let him do that again!?? - Sport Accuracy meet all during the day for those who wish to participate. - FOOD, fun, cheap and FAST jumps! Hope to see everyone there! Last year, we hit 53 loads at 2:30 in the afternoon and had to shut down because all participants were exhausted. We need more people to make it happen this year!! Edited to add: When - April 19th, rain date on April 20th Why - We are always about pushing our single Cessna operation to it's limit, and the more jumps means more fun! My dirty little secret is that I always REALLY wanted to figure out a way to substitute a Racer-Style Quick loop on Strong 304 seats that I pack for the Aerobatic Club here in town. I think it would make the system easier to assemble, and It would eliminate the need for the Redundant second set of "starter" grommets. I need to get the guts and go ask Strong about it.... =========Shaun ==========

Perhaps do you have link to the original incident report or perhaps a news article? I too am suprised. I wouldn't be shocked if this guy turned around in the event of a loss and sued the 6 experienced instructors for letting him jump!!
