I can't believe it. This is Stoopid. I am not a packrat - I am the kind of guy that throws shit away and asks questions later. However, Since I've been working as a Rigger the last 14 months, I've been amazed at the stuff that somehow or another has followed me home. I have an entire closet full of parachutes! ------------------------------------------------------- - 6x 1992 Complete and Airworthy Strong Dual Hawk Student Containers with all the parts - Sabre 230 - Needs about $700 in Repairs to make it Airworthy - PD 230- after about 700 jumps F1-11 is shot. Car cover. - 2x Pilot rigs, complete but since GQ Mandated a service life, they are perfectly airworthy but unusable. Shame... - Box-a-Toggles. - Free Bag to something, not quite sure what. - T-10, with the lines, and on Risers. Ready to go. - FC Prodigy with ZERO jumps that was abandoned at the dropzone about the time I came here in 2002. I'm still trying to contact the Owner. If not, then it'll be donated to a worthy cause. ---------- I was just impressed. Is it just me, or do Riggers just accumulate stuff like this? Hmm, Interesting concept. Don't they already make them in Honduras? Why is everyone against it? Sure, maybe Chinese canopies could be a paradigm shift the industry will settle into, but It might not be a bad thing. It might help control the inflating price of parachutes, and even help PD make a stakehold in upcoming markets. There is PLENTY of skilled labor over there, and I doubt the Quality will decrease. I guess the question is how will PD pass on the savings? If they were smart, they'd keep their current production facility in full swing and more into R&D, design, and testing. =========Shaun ==========

This is true - that would be our first priority. We have the $, and in 500 hours we are up for an overhaul as well. That rear window would defiantly be the thing to do though. Hopefully the boogie this year will give us not the cash, but hopefully the momentum and "gung-ho" needed to rally that up. =========Shaun ==========

On a more serious note - my favorite thing about life is ma family. I'm sure when I get married, I'll even second that! I was about to say "girls" but then I realized that they are only my favorite thing in life some of the time, or at least not when the relationship ain't going so hot... =========Shaun ==========

How about this for starters.... Peer Guardian 2 helps keep your shared files and online activities private. I use it even when I'm not on a file sharing client, it does a good job at keeping spyware back too. = ) =========Shaun ==========

0:1:0 What a lousy weekend. I went to the Dorkzone at 9:00, and the plane showed up from it's check-up at around 11:00ish. When it showed up, the clouds were low (2,500' AGL) and so I rallied up the troops for ONE low load to 2k, then we shut down for the day. It was a good jump though... = ) =========Shaun ==========
