i'm not a big gun fan, but i do like bats. i had 20 some break-ins into my car while living in philadelphia, and there was always a bat by my door. i hoped i'd hear the car alarm, rush out there, and take a knee. i wouldn't kill the guy, but he'd be walking with a limp when the cops arrive. as far as my house, well, i would shoot first if being robbed (you have to assume they are armed) and i would aim for center mass (torso). i'm trying to drop the guy with one shot. i'd rather he actually live and get a little prison sex out of the deal along with the bullet, but if he dies, he dies.

I am looking to purchase my first rig, and have found many to my liking here on the classifieds on this site. My question to you is, have you purchased a rig long-distance/online/from the classifieds, and if so, what tips might you offer? (I MAY just check your profile too to see if you are selling anything so be honest!!! ;-) ) I know to ask about the size of the jumper (i.e. "I am 5'6", 145 lbs, etc..."), but what else have you found to be a pro and con here? There are few options locally at my DZ to date as far as gear goes (and I want to be ready to go soon enough!) Any recos on the number of jumps that are acceptable on a main (assuming I'll put a few more hundred on it)? How did the rig fit you when you got it? I know of course to get it all checked out by my rigger... The list goes on I am sure... Thanks! -

my job pays for my car - the vehicle itself, insurance, maintenance, gas - you name it. i pay for the rig. take a guess which needs more work

i dunno, mt. biking (i race xc) kicks my ass. i continually have bumps, gashes, and bruises from biking, but only a sore finger from jumping!
