What was your most proud skydive day
Fireflyer replied to cocheese's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
my first pack job was pretty exciting. so much happened. i it jumped from 5500 locked right arm to right arm with my aff instructor, just goofing off and spinning like a clock for a few K. so funny. HE muffed the spot tho, and we landed off site. it was also tie for my scariest... the wind was so strong that day, my glide path from 2K looked like I (and the 2 other guys on our load) was heading for the interstate! i was jumping a larger chute too than usual, and not falling fast enough. turning 360s hard to bleed off alt just blew me farther to the highway. i was doing pull-ups on the front risers and was completely up out of the leg straps to dive that "cadillac" of a chute into the wind. i put it down right on the side of a cornfield in a 50 foot clearing, with a road and powerlines and farms all around. i had the best landing of all aboard. i got my A too that jump. 3 birds with one stone that day it was the best one ever. -
this was was my training experience exactly also. i agree that its a valuble tool...

Doesn't matter. If that profile is correct, it's too small for them. Blue skies Ian dont kill the messenger...i'm on your side! i'm a buck-50 under a 190!

...and, i may as well have been a spectator on my first attempt at a four way our of a beech 99. we all were to exit together, and i was the far inside man. the other 3 - C/D licensed jumpers said we were all off the count, but i think they were being nice. i think i got a little agressive on the push out the door, as we were just all in a head down pose helmets to helmets. basically a big pile of skydivers! it looked really cool to me at least. i was like "hey, how you doing?" you rarely get to see what the EYE COLORS are of the people in your formation! haha

you should flip the pic if you want to say you are headdown there...
-
considering today's world, we should be giving the props to the military over all else... not that the record wasn't incredible

Good for you. I think you are contributing to the quality of peoples' lives taking them up and putting your life in jeopardy. There is more to be concerned about skydiving if you ask me! I believe in the power of the mind, and it sounds like yours will keep your body very sound. Wishing you the best!

stick your hand out of your car window at 60 mph. it gets slammed back pretty hard. if you exit right, you surf that oncoming wind right on down... nuff said...

i was meaning that he was thinking that just as he was beginning to peer around the front. geez, everyone's a critic!

yeah, our DZO checks everybody's card at the beginning of our short season. no reason to screw them or the pilot for 40 bucks
