  2. Not that I would ask that question, but how are us mere mortals supposed to know you don't cook it on there? . I know I am no pizza wizard. So much for the "customer oriented place" you work at eh?
  3. The "Skyhook" suspension is a product of ZF Sachs, a driveline and chassis technology company in Germany. It is simply a complex computer algorithm that allows the rebound and compression damping of a suspension system to be altered to suit the situation so that movement of the car body is significantly reduced. It is an option on the Maserati Coupe and Cambriocorsa worldwide, and also the Mercedes-Benz E class in Europe (not sure in the US).
  4. OH CONGRATS. thats exactly what i am looking for! Nice! post pics!
  5. a getto-fabulous emachines and a new dell laptop
  6. Welcome to the forums, and good luck in AFF
  7. i wish i was a newbie then!
  8. Welcome to the forums, and congrats on the A. I just got mine last summer...
  9. Looking at the horizon like skyhi mentioned changed my landings dramatically. I would also love the oppurtunity to have my landings videod - I can see that being very beneficial to you.
  10. Welcome to the forums. And I hear you with the weather. Ugh...
  11. I am with everyone here, Tink, Aggie, Skymama, and the rest, that a tandem is the way to go. I did that a year ago. Bought a tandem for like 170, then did AFF for about 1700 I think. The tandem gets you exposed to freefall and prepared for what you will need to do on your own in AFF. Best of luck!
  12. The name change wouldn't have anything to do with a recent landing eh?
  13. Welcome to the forums, and good luck throughout AFF! Remember to breathe!
  14. Welcome to the forums, and congrats on your A! I started the same time as you last year!
  15. Ok, let's hear it. I watched the rain & snow fall all weekend. Good thing I took off my snow tires last week; its snowed or rained a little every other day since! ugh. But I'm not bitter, no not me... I hope most of you got to jump! Chris
  16. How? My copy of the BSRs lists 16-years-old as a non-waiverable minimum. Did they just go to non-USPA dropzones? Spencer its not a USPA dropzone in Columbia. see first post. ... AND YES, I saw it. Watched the kid fall all the way to the ground. If you can't DRIVE A CAR you probably aren't good at altitude awareness. Static line maybe a different issue; tandems ok, but here is one more reason you should actually need a license to have a child in this world.
  17. get well soon...actually NOT wishing you "blues", as in no "black & blue" marks!...
  18. Oh yeah. I drive all over PA, WV, and NY for my job, and its great. I've been all over the US, but only outside the country once. Anyone interested in hostelling Europe via backpack and a Eurail pass, you let me know!
