I searched and didn't find this posted hope, sorry if it is already... http://www.cnn.com/2003/TECH/biztech/09/24/kazaa.sues.ap/index.html LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Turning the tables on record labels, makers of the most popular Internet song-swapping network are suing entertainment companies for copyright infringement. Sharman Networks Ltd., the company behind the Kazaa file-sharing software, filed a federal lawsuit Monday accusing the entertainment companies of using unauthorized versions of its software in their efforts to root out users. Entertainment companies have offered bogus versions of copyright works and sent online messages to users. Sharman said the companies used Kazaa Lite, an ad-less replica of its software, to get onto the network. The lawsuit also claims efforts to combat piracy on Kazaa violated terms for using the network. ... see the link for the rest of the article Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com

Hmmm, I will be in Florida, but I don't know if I'll be able to head down to that. I'll have just moved in and I'll be in Virginia the following weekend... I definitely do need to get back to Sebastian though, I still have money on my account there!

Point rocks! You get to do so much flying and tons of outfacing stuff. Good fun.

For codec problems check out http://www.kazaa-lite.tk/ and download and install the K-Late Codec Pack under downloads on the left side of the page. It contains most codecs that you'll come across (except for DivX which you can get from http://www.divx.com.) Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com

Do you know where the French 42 point dive can be downloaded from (if it's available online)? Is there a resource to see videos of competition dives from past championships? I know that http://www.mondial03.com/modules.php?name=Videos only has a few videos available. Anyone know where I can find more? Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com

where any of you band geeks in high school?
NeedToJump replied to futurehighflyer's topic in The Bonfire
I played piano starting around maybe age 8 and quit when I was 14. I started playing trombone at the beginning of sophomore year of high school and did all-county/all-state/etc and ended up going to a music conservatory. I was lucky enough to enjoy being a professional musician for a while - I've done studio work (cds and recordings), shows, clubs, hotels, been a featured soloist/clinician in other countries... phew... Then skydiving came into the picture and I've re-evaluated my priorities and I've shifted from being musician and part-time computer programmer to full-full-time computer programmer and very-part time musician. Hey, I get to jump more -
Awesome, congrats! I hope the Velocity 79 works out for you Definitely post some pics of that rig with you wearing it up! Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com

It's a new helmet, they were demoing them at the Ranch this past weekend. They're made by Paratec. Edit - Paratec's website is http://www.paratec.de but I couldn't find anything about the helmet in either the English or German version. Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com

If there's a big group leaving in front of you and/or if the uppers are very strong then 45 degrees may not be adequate separation. Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com -
I'd agree with alana, go with shippou-chan Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com

Yeah, I still think that 39 points on a 5 point dive in 35 seconds is pretty decent as well... Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com

I tried a FreeZR demo helmet this past weekend. It was the quietest helmet I've jumped, I couldn't believe it. I normally jump a Z1 and I've jumped the Oxgyn and Factory Divers as well. Very comfortable helmet as well with tons of peripheral visibility. Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com

Strange thoughts in freefall?
NeedToJump replied to Vertifly's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I usually wear weights (6-10 lbs) and so when I jump without weights everything feels really different and it feels like something is missing. Anytime I get that feeling I look to make sure that I still have my rig on. Also, my first (and only) cutaway was from a CRW entanglement. I cutaway, got stable and was belly to earth by around 6000 feet. It was the weirdest feeling to be freefalling without a main on my bag. I looked and reached back to make sure my rig hadn't come off when I cut away because it felt so different. When I was confident that I had my rig on and got tired of looking at my cut away handle in my right hand I pulled the reserve. I like my PD 143 -
No, it's a stuffed animal chicken. When are you going to be back at the Ranch? I haven't seen you there in a while. Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com

I take about 7 - 8 minutes to pack. One of the packers I know has done two full pack jobs and has begun flaking out the canopy on the third in the time it takes me to do one. I'm astounded by how fast he packs every time I see it. He always packs great openings too. Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com
